Hey Ron... as one of the guys who often has a look without saying anything to the poster, I am guilty as charged. However, this is the first time anyone pointed out to me that it might be a self esteem issue. Quite frankly, it had never occurred to me that that might be the case. So for that I apologize, to you and anyone else that might have been troubled by such behaviour. Perhaps we take it for granted that self-pics are self gratification in some way, rather than a need to be accepted by the community. I can see now that that is wrong, and I promise you that in future when I decide to take a look at someone in the forums I will let them know I did, and why. You are a friend of mine here, and I hope you remain so in spite of me being one of the parties you addressed the thread to. I don't hold it against anyone, as I know everyone has their own individual reasons for not posting feedback. And again, you silent majority guys have no idea how much time you've saved me, as far as not having to process that video tape frame by frame to pull out the best stuff.

Your thread was more popular than a lot of others here, but while many posters just show themselves off to share and get some feedback, apparently you were only in for the feedback. Not just some feedback, but much feedback .. that much that you are now scolding the people who looked but didn't comment. Do you expect people to comment on every thread that they see here? Do you comment on every thread that you open? I am quite sure, you don't. So don't be mad when others do the same ...

Although I saw my motive for this thread as simply a
frank explanation for why I had my picture thread deleted, it's possible you're right, in that I may be harboring some bitterness without even realizing it.

Not wanting to share? Me? Based on the narcissism I admitted to in my thread, I don't see how you could have reached that conclusion. Because someone with a narcissistic personality is by definition an exhibitionist, and you only have to look as far as my avatar to confirm that in my case.
Butt there comes a point when public humiliation from the perception of mass rejection will override the desire to share for even the most prolific exhibitionist. Because no one wants to make a fool out of himself by posting self pics that generate zero interest among 117 viewers over a 10 hour period.
And can you name a single poster who continued posting self-pics after viewers lost interest in him and stopped providing feedback? The only difference between them and me is that I asked for my thread to be deleted, and I posted an explanation for the guys who would be wondering what happened to it.

Butt, and this is a BIG butt (with no pun intended), I indicated in my above post that all it would have taken to keep my thread alive was just a
couple of people providing positive feedback last night. And the reality is that just one person could have done it...a single person out of 117 over a 10 hour period. And I don't think that was expecting too much.
As well, if I was only motivated by "much feedback," why would I spend so many hours processing my video, testing various software programs, making screen shots, making gifs, and posting new material just for the relatively few people who have posted comments in recent days? From Monday through Saturday, 8 people posted a total of 11 comments. Meaning that it was obvious I wasn't going to get feedback from a lot of the 160+ viewers who were clicking on the thread each time a post was made to it.

I worded my above post very carefully to avoid misconceptions just like that, butt regrettably, it appears that I've failed in that endeavor. As it wasn't my intention to come across as though I was scolding anyone. I'm acutely aware that people are not in any way obligated to provide feedback, just as
they're aware that people will stop posting if they don't get any feedback. My objective was simply to make this a better forum by providing viewers with insight from a poster's perspective.
Butt maybe you're characterizing my following statement as a rebuke against viewers, "I put in a request to have the thread deleted because I got tired of being ostracized and ignored by so many people." If so, I was simply stating my true feelings as to why I had the thread deleted.

any post is made to it, day after day after day. Because after many, many days of this, that degree of interest in a poster HAS to indicate they like his pictures, right? If so, they should let the poster know at least once. Why? Because due to self-image/self-esteem issues an otherwise rational poster may have, he could conceivably interpret a high view/low comment ratio as something negative.

However, after the initial resurrection of my now deceased picture thread, I did make a few exceptions to this, in an attempt to figure out why so many viewers were posting comments in those threads, butt totally ignoring mine.

Ron, I, for one, am saddened that you have decided to pull your post and am sorry that you feel that way. You should not take it personally. I belong to several other forums (non-porn), and I do not comment on every thread that is posted or that I view. If I like what I see or read, then I comment in a positive manner, otherwise I move on. Too many times I have seen threads get bashed and flamed with insults (many photography forums I belong to are like that). Personally, I see no need for that type of attitude and find it immature and childish.
That doesn't seem to be the case here at the Amateur Forum, thank goodness. Not all of us are Apollo-like gods, lol, but I thoroughly enjoy seeing what everyone has to offer. We are all so different, but all alike. The human body is a work of art in all its beauty, ugliness, and complexity. Our genetic variation is what keeps us alive, vibrant, and flourishing. We are all miracles.
I realize that a lot of time and effort has been put into your project. If you feel that it must end, so be it. But please don't expect 1,000 comments for 1,000 views. That just isn't going to happen.

Thanks for expressing those kind thoughts about me, butt unfortunately, my pic posting days have cum to an end. I've had a lifelong struggle with depression, so I have to avoid situations (whenever possible) that are known to amplify it. And when I post what I consider to be a hot gif of myself, butt get
zero feedback after 117 JUBbers have seen it over a 10 hour period, naturally it's going to make me feel rejected/depressed. The point being that it'd be a reoccurring situation, especially when the thread is being kept alive by just a few people who are willing to post feedback on a regular basis.
