I'll stand up for the newbie...

Not everybody here is so rude and angry. The biggest problem comes from people(lurkers, newbies, seasoned members with followings) who actively seek to make this place bad for everyone else. Eventually, the xenophobia will pass, but remember to do your part here: be polite, and don't take offense too easily.
 
I'm only rude when people generalize and throw me in with others who exhibit less than desirable characteristics.
 
I don't remember any of your previous comments so I'm not sure why you ask this. I can say in general ther are questions asked which are dumb questions and many have been asked a thousand times. There are people who make allegations and comments which have no basis of truth. An example is the guy who blamed Pres. Bush for the dead spots in the Gulf of Mexico. Bush is a poor president but you can't blame him for everything which goes wrong no more than you can blame Clinton for the bridge in Minnesota which was deteriorating while he was president and collapsed yesterday. There seems to be a dearth of common sense in that kind of logic. In short - STUPIDITY.

By no means am I saying your question is dumb. You didn't ask why people are rude to YOU, you asked a generic question and I gave a generic answer. Would you like to cite a specific example of rudeness which we can all analyze?

Let me say there was a young guy the other night whose post was one long, run-on sentence without punctuation. It was very difficult to read and I stopped reading it. I commented that he needed to use basic punctuation, spell check and use paragraphing.
