Tranny is just an abbreviation for something. I did see somewhere that they do get their panties in a bunch over that word. Faggot is just a word. It only hurts if you let it. Sticks and stones......

Tranny is offensive. Ive worked in the trans community and Ive never heard that word being accepted outside of porn.

faggot is wot hit ball
ans tranny carry golf clubs

maybe

thankyou

I insist we cannot go through our lives censoring words as well as actions.
Especially when people across the globe develop fads in making up new words and making new reasons to be offended. I could say that I'm offended that certain Americans refer to their 'ass' as the centre of their being. It's ridiculous.

If Faggot is "just a word" that would mean every word is just a word and what anyone ever says is meaningless because they're "just words."

They are just words. They may be intended to hurt, but they are words. It it can be written and read and spoken and understood it's just a word.

People have to take power out of words such as the black community did by calling each other "niggas" in an affectionate way.

Queer is also used as an empowerment word at times.

Black people did a poor job of this.

Many Black people are still offended by this word. Me, for example.

and people are insulted when they call them black instead of African American, and vice-versa. You really can never win with everyone.

I think the only bad job they did is that they get mad when white people say nigga.

I dont like when anyone says it. I will not be called this by Black or White people.

Ive been called a Nigger by a White person and I am allowed to get mad. I should get mad. Its meant to hurt me.

why is nuclear missull point up ya butt bit not nice ans anoda nuclear missull fa light astroid cigar?

That's your prerogative not to use "nigga" or be offended by it. I choose not to use either n word, but I'm not gonna tell brothas in the hood what to call themselves or be offended by their use of it.

In the end they are just words and if you don't value the opinion of the person saying it, it shouldn't hurt.

If someone called me a spic it would be their problem, unless I was in a business environment and then cha-ching lawsuit.

I'm not offended by the word faggot, and I am neither a transvestite nor a transsexual nor a transgender person, though I do like to genderfuck sometimes. I think THAT's the major ish with "tranny." It's too much like /0

Well, its good that you can let spic roll off your back.

I think words do hold power.

I would like to tell the "brothas" in the hood to stop using the word. Its reflects badly on me. People like to lump us all together.
Words do hurt and I don't like being verbally abused. That is the whole concept of this anti-bully movement.

Are you blind?

Do you really think this is the place to proselytise against the porn industry?

Neither is offense in an auto shop or whilst building a fire... on the other hand whenever you start labeling people then you run into issues.

If you are talking about a bundle of sticks faggot is acceptable.

If you are talking about car transmissions tranny is acceptable.

The porn industry pays the bills for this place. We wouldn't be here without it.

I didn't know that "tranny" was an offensive word. o___O I thought it was a nickname and/or abbreviation for the word 'transsexual'. "Faggot" is an offensive word because it's commonly used negatively, it's used to insult a gay male. It means they're "disgusting, feminine, sissy, punk, bitch, wimp".
