1.) Why is it that some people feel the need to play moderator on this board?

2.) Why it is that some people feel the need to decide what's considered a 'hot' topic and what's not?

3.) Why is it that some people feel the need to be completely rude with someone that they've never even spoken to before?

I'm not sure if it's just because I don't post here alot, or if they just think I'm a weak pushover, or a combination of both... but shit, how wrong they are.

Until I see the title "moderator" under your name.... FUCK YOU and KISS MY ASS. You're not my mommy, you're not my daddy, and you're sure as fuck not the designated hall monitor... especially considering the dozens and dozens of posts on this forum daily that truly are much more off topic than that of my own.

Single me out again, bitch.

That's enough young man, back to class or i'll administer a JUB warning point [-X

I'm posting in the dark here, because I don't think I'm privy to whatever happened (or if I am, I'm clueless atm LOL), but if a thread gets moved and you think you've got a better idea as to where it should go, you can always PM a mod about it.

The reality is that lots of threads will fit into more than one forum.

Oh, no... it's not about a thread being moved, that's cool. If a board moderator feels that a thread would fit in best elsewhere, so be it... I don't have a big problem with it. However, I find that many times, the title of a thread can either save it or not. I could make the same exact post two times, with the same exact content in both (the only difference being different thread titles) and depending upon the title, one would be moved while the other stayed put. Not important... just an interesting observation.

My issue is about people who aren't moderators pretending as if they are, and doing so in a not-so-kosher manner. 'Tis all. :)

"Nice" and "loving" are supposed to go together and you usually love those that you know well, i.e, family and friends.
On the other hand, if you think you must be kind by default with strangers and be rude only with those you love precisely because you know and love them enough to do so, isn´t it, rather than being nasty, a mark of extraordinary consideration to do the same with someone you have never spoken to before?

HourglassGuy, I feel your frustration. It seems that most JUBers seem very heavily invested in the site. Sometimes they feel the need to try to control content or the direction of content. It's just a quirk of humanity, I guess. I'd imagine that person feels just as irritated with your own apparent need to have things the way you like them as you are with that person right now. It's just one of those times when we all need to step away from the computer and reassess what's actually important in our lives.

As for the last line in your initial post, I strongly caution you to watch your tone. It's not worth it.

I would sympathise with you but sorry that sort of attitude isn't very endearing.

Couldn't you have just stated your opinion. What I saw of the supposed comments didn't seem to require such a virulent, obscene and insulting reply.

..."virulent"...must write that one down - what does it mean? Sounds cool.

LoL, it sounds like a disease of some sort.

Anyway, dpnice, I was just venting. I'm much better now, heh. But your feedback is duly noted.

I've never thought it was a big problem. I don't pay any attention to non-moderators who complain about what I post. If I'm in the wrong, a moderator will correct me. Friendly advice however, is welcome, even if it's not from a moderator.

 Okay, OKAY Eddie! F.F.S! There's no need to be so "Virulent"!!!

Did I use it in it's right context?

NO! But 10 points for trying. ;)

Virulent: extremely bitter, hostile.

Shouldn't the noun be virility?

Being virulent is a sign of virility. Sounds right anyway. :-)

Wiki-Wiki-Pedia!

Virulence refers to the degree of pathogenicity of a microbe, or in other words the relative ability of a microbe to cause disease. The word virulent, which is the adjective for virulence, derives from the Latin word virulentus, which means "full of poison." From an ecological point of view, virulence can be defined as the host's parasite induced loss of fitness.

Wha...?

You're all deadly.
