Worse than just stupid. He is one of those stupid people that think that they are really smart.

Like the emperor without clothes, his handlers convinced him that he was bright.

Like all deceptions, it was not sustainable and started to unravel when he traveled to the UK this summer.

We had this exact same discussion at the gym this morning. Consensus was that it's because the republical party believes in "Intelligent Design". Too funny.

They hijacked that term. What they really believe in is young earth creationism. Intelligent design used to describe a belief arrived at because of science, that there is a Creator. It wasn't exclusively Christian; when I was at OSU there were also Buddhists and others, as each person picked the alleged revelation that best fit his view of what a Creator would be.
