Why Is There So Much Czech Porn?

Hello boys,

I was wondering about the answer to a very simple question: Why is there so much gay czech porn? If you look at DVDs available for sale there seems to be a lot of gay porn from the Czech Republic in the twink category.

They're not from Poland, Germany or Hungary, but almost all titles are czech. Is there anything that makes Czech twinks particularly susceptible to getting into gay porn? What's even more striking is that a lot of this stuff is bareback.

Any ideas?

Economics, too. Bel Ami started up in the cold bath right after the end of the Cold War and the loss of the Socialist Safety net. While they are generally pretty good, other producers seem to have a 'will fuck for food' policy.

Prague seems to be the nexus of the euro porn biz, both gay and straight. however they draw models from all over the former eastern block. Also Spain.

With the current downturn, I think we're going to see a lot more 'extreme' American porn.

Interesting idea. I looked up "Czech Republic" on Wikipedia and found out that almost 60% of all Czechs are atheists / non-believers and only around 25% are Roman Catholic. That's amazing. No other countries in the region have such a high number of non-belivers.

So, does that mean, the less religion, the more (gay) porn?

I think Bel Ami certainly had a huge part to play in this. Although even before that companies like Mans best/Action boys etc were releasing czech made material too.

But Bel Ami gave it respectability. Being one of their models is regarded as a hot job for young good looking guys there ...regardless of their true sexuality. Its good money & leads to other kinds of work *wink*

I don't think all young guys in Czech republic are that hot. Its just that it is a more acceptable career choice there. Therefore any guy who is young & hot looking is gonna look at it as a good way to make fantastic money. The other options there are not that great in comparison. So the industry there attracts a much higher percentage of hot guys, mostly straight, than in most western countries. The whole "gay for pay" mentality is totally acceptable there. Its a similar thing with Brazil.

The poorer the country the easier it is to get hot guys to fuck each other for less money.

There is all these gorgeous boys in Hungary and even Poland...
surely there is peculiar economic and political conditions in that country.

This might be wrong or whatever but I really hate Euro-gay and Brazilian porn for many of these reasons. There's often way too many guys. They usually arent that hot or all have a VERY similar look (same smooth tanned skin and haircut) so it gets boring. These scenes are also very boring because to me it is obvious the guys are straight with bad acting and robotic sex. A lot of the straight porn that is really intense like Rocco Siffredi porn is really good. If they had that same energy in gay porn I'd be all about it.

Czech are very relaxed about sex, both men and women, and they have long been one of the more tolerant countries concerning gay sexuality.

That combined with low wages means a lot of guys are prepared to act in porn there.
