Why isn't there gay softcore porn on Cable TV?

Cinemax, Showtime, HBO Zone, TMC all show straight and lesbian softcore porn past 11 pm. Why no gay softcore porn? Should GLAAD demand equality, that gay porn also be televised on these cable channels just as straight porn is.

I think it's long over-due and completely unfair that only one sexual orientation is represented on late night cable.

aiiiiiiiiint dudes already got each otda ya knows real time world ova

not need "gay" show um wot do

titters

there should be equal airing of gay sex also to be realistic.

Exactly. It's as if they're making us obsolete like we don't even exsist, like our sex lives are not worth airing on tv. The only time you see 2 men nowadays being involved in sexual activity is on the news as some sort of illegal crime.

It amazes me that so many gay men can just deal with this type of social injustice and discrimination on such an epic level. I think this might be up there with marriage equality, because think about the bigger picture in this, if gay male sex was constantly viewable on premium cable than that would normalize our private lives to middle and sourthern bigoted america which at first would draw huge protest from straights than over time they'd adjust just like we have had to adjust for decades without viewing our orientation being represented by a wide scale audience.

Straights have options, lesbians have options but as gay men we have zero options on premium channels and i think thats an injustice and a blantant act of discrimination.

Why aren't we represented?

Why should we have to troll and lurk online when straights can just view it on their premium cable subscription. It's just not fair, It's not equal.

You have got to be fucking kidding me with this. We had Queer as Folk, The L Word, Brothers & Sisters(though I never watched that show - because it was on ABC), 6 Feet Under, and quite a few others that gave us sex AND other things(this does of course exclude Brothers & Sisters given my knowledge of the show is minimal and word-of-mouth at best), but no, the way to equal rights won't be satisfied unless we're able to fuck on a 3am timeslot?

Tell me, how DO C-movie worthy performances of bimbos normalize sex in ANYones life other than giving teenagers something to jack off to when their parents are in bed? I for one, can't wait to hear this explanation.

I wonder how people are defining "softcore porn". Do you consider it as the same thing as hardcore, with all the shots cut below the waist? Or is it porn that includes all the intimacy, both physical and emotional and doesn't focus on extreme close-ups of genitalia? To me, it is the latter. Of which, I have rarely seen anywhere. But I would love to.

I'd like to see something like Corbinfisher, minus the extreme closeup anatomy lessons, plus more foreplay and afterplay. And more story (light story). In short, much of the sexual interaction can stay, but add more nonsexual interaction. Make it real.

well....why isnt there gay porn on cable tv? idk maybe cuz parents dont wana find their son jackin off to mansex? its homophobia and there be lots of homophobes in places that unfortunately still watch television.

i do recall when i was a young lad i would watch scrambled porn on cable and for a split second a crystal clear image of a naked man appeared. i thought my pants would explode.... :p

idk if that was a sign i was gay or doing a ricky martin lip sync in drama class....

Brothers and sisters were cancelled
6 feet under stopped airing years ago
The L word is for lesbians
Queer as folk stopped airing years ago and was a drama

So what do we have right now Today? NOTHING

The Bible freaks are the main ones watching porn not teenagers and I definitely think that bigoted housewifes or their husbands flippin through channels that just happens to stumble past a gay softcore porn scene will see wow that looks compassionate or wow that seems romantic i'ma try that with my husband, who knows maybe we can give the straights some pointers. It's not all just tight leather bondage sex. We have so many possibilities to explore our sexuality and it's like only the straights get to have that oppurtunity on premium cable that I pay for.

My dad can grab a beer and go into bed watching softcore porn on Cinemax, I can't. I have to get up and lurk online while he lays in his fucking bed and it's just not fair. Why is this priveldge just for the straights and lesbians. Haven't you ever asked yourself while watching Lady chatterly or Co-Ed confidential why aren't there any gay men in this flick? or why is every flick geared for the straights?

I think Cable companies would make a killing if they showed gay male sex nightly as they do straight sex. When queer as folk first aired every teenage girl at my school at the time was talking about that show, and it was a drama. It brought our dilemma our compassion our love our sex right into the forefront and had people talking.

or do you want us to remain invisble forever?

I would love to see that also, the emotional spiritual physical intimacy between men. I want America to see it. When i flip past channels late at night it's all the same straight porn for straight people. For some odd reason gay guys here feel like we don't deserve it and that only straights should have it while we be confined or restricted to just the internet.

All i'm asking is everything people see tonight on their premium cable channels between a man and a woman is what we should be seeing between 2 men.

I was just watching some softcore porn yesterday on HBO lol. TJ Cummings was in it. Made me think of his gay porn days. And one of the girls had boobs that were way too big for her. It looked like they would fall off.

Let's get serious for a moment. I've been watching "Shameless" this weekend. There are several sex scenes where heterosexual fucking is occurring, but none of two gay guys.

Now, there is Ian who is gay, but the show never shows him fucking. His sex scenes are all off camera or implied through conversation. I understand he is a kid, but still there should be equal airing of gay sex also to be realistic.

Cameron Monaghan, the guy who plays Ian, turned 18 last August so I'm guessing that they couldn't show too much of him. I'm wondering if they filmed season 2 before or after he turned 18 but I'm hoping to see more.

Obviously as we aren't the majority, these companies draw the conclusion they won't make much money out of advertisers. Because the ratings would be lower.

In season 1, Ian was fucking his boss at the store and fuckin the rough guy from the hood that was shoplifting from the store....Ian's boss shot the other kid out of jealousy. American Horror had Dermott Mulroney jerkin off and a gay ghost couple in the script, one of whom grabbed Dermott's crotch.

To the premise of the thread: Gay softcore doesn't sell. Gay men don't have any interest in nuance, romance and inuendo, like women do. Straight men could give a fuck, and women who want to watch two queers go at each other prolly want to see the real deal.

Glee's Darren Criss singing romantic love songs to Chris Colfer and it being the shows most successful and biggest selling single should show the country we want romance, we want passion we want everything the straights have.

Brokeback Mountain should have been our platform to totally take off on and tell the world we deserve the same movie and tv rights as you. TV was the only thing that let me know i wasn't alone, I wasn't the only gay person in the world TV is our platform to empower gay kids the way Queer as Folk empowered me. When i was a child watching Queer as Folk and hearing Brian Kinney say to his boyfriend Justin

"The biggest payback to give to a straight is being gay and successful"

That instantly made me register for college the next day.

Queer as Folk was on here in oz several years ago, could that be called soft porn, I thought it was a bloody good show, (old chap!) SBS!

Soft porn does nothing for me.

SOft core doesn't do it for me either.

Because they don't make it right, or have rarely ever tried to make any at all. At least in the way I described it in my previous post. And speak for yourself. I beg to differ that many gay men do have an interest in all that. Gay porn where men kiss is much hotter than when they don't kiss, for example.

^Agrees 100% A kiss truly seals the deal for me and it's just much hotter to watch.
