Why no gay pay per view on satellite or cable?

I was just looking through the adult pay per view channels on DISH network. DISH has 9 different adult pay per view stations. I could not find one gay movie in all of them . They are missing a huge market by not offering at least a few gay adult pay per view movies. What are your thoughts? Would you occasionally buy a pay per view adult video if they offered some gay titles? I would. In fact I emailed DISH to request it. Does your satellite or cable provider offer gay adult pay per view? If so what is the company? I will see if it’s available here. I think its time we all start telling them to give us a channel. If you agree send them a note as I did.

You are correct, they are missing on a huge market. Think though of all the protest letters they would receive if they had gay oifferings.

as an employee of Dish Network and one who has been lobying hard for more gay friendly programming, I can tell you that it is going to take a lot of people emailing and putting pressure on them to get more programming.
The best email to use would be: ceo@echostar.com and voice your desire for more gay friendly programming.
I have met with the head of programming a few times about not only Logo, but with the offerings that Dish does have and though they are working on things, it is going to take the voice of the subscribers to get more action done.

Thats messed. There is a huge collection of Gay porn on my digital cable. I am in Canada however... so that might explain it.

Dish does have HERETV on channel 537. You can buy it in three hour blocks, but you can't subscribe to it by the month and as of now, that is the only thing that Dish offers (unless you count Bravo)

Even if the satellite and cable channels offered some gay friendly vids they would still be the very soft core stuff. I don't think it would be profitable for them. After all, anyone interested in gay porn can see it on the web or buy dvds through the web.
The soft-porn gay market it pretty weak I think. Now, not to say that I wouldn't love to see some gay-themed movies (quality stuff) on Directv or Dish. Even on LOGO.... LOGO does show some gay stuff but they edit the dialogue and scenes.

They totally ruin the first season of Queer As Folk with their editing.....I don't understand why its not showing unedited. If FX can show nudity and get away with just about everything else...why cant' LOGO??!

Time Warner Cable has the Manhandle Channel. It's a premium channel like HBO. It even has On Demand. It's not available in certain communities like Cincinnati where I live. It is in Dayton and Columbus and Cleveland. It all goes by the backward standards that Cincinnati has. So the fault may not be your cable or satellite system, it could be the idiots you elect as prosecutor. Back in the days before the internet, you could even BUY porn via the mail in Cincinnati.

We have Bright House and they carry LOGO and HERE! plus gay adult channels HIS and Manhandle.

I've seen VOD gay vids listed in the adult section, and sound hardcore by the description. This is on Verizon FIOS in Tampa Bay. I would never pay 30 -50 bills to watch some thing like that. All the hardcore/porn is much more expensive.

It already is. There's so much great Queer cinema out there and all LOGO ever does is replay RuPaul's Drag Race.

Not just for porn, but for any gay themed TV show or movie. That would be cool! There's OutTV, but all they ever play now is RuPaul's Drag Race and chick flicks.
How about a channel that doesn't cater only to the queeny, stereotypical gay guys, or focus almost exclusively on trans issues? Since gay, lesbian, and trans issues are so different, three different channels addressing each group would be really cool.
