Pink is considered like a women color.Blue is considered like a men color.

For some reasons pink is always the color that is linked to gay men.American have the gay channels Here and Logo.Canadian have the gay channels OutTV and Hard (Gay porn channel).French have PinkTV.

The OutTV logo is Pink.The PinkTV logo is pink (Why not BlueTV?).In gay magazines.You often see the word gay wrote with pink color,gay cd compilations often have pink color on the cover,ect...

Why the blue color is never linked to gay men?

Yes to the historical connection.

I kind of like the "who says?" irony of it.

Like, who says pink is only for girls? A few steps removed, and it's the same general school of thought that says what's normal for a boy is to like girls.
 
Oh for fuck's sake! Colors do not have gender nor are they gender-oriented. If you want technicalities, pink is of the same tonal category as red, which is the most dominant color in the visually perceived spectrum. 'Pogue is correct in the statement that the pink and black triangles come from the holocaust. The Nazis color-coded prisoners of war with triangles...pink for gay, black for lesbian, yellow for Jewish, among others. As for the masculinity or femininity of pink or blue...grow up, get a life and move forward.

I'm proud to wear the color pink (literally and figuratively) because it's saying: "Fuck you! I'm here, I'm not going anywhere. Get used to it!" I feel the same way about my blackness. Pink is such an awesome color (used in moderation). Pink fits my color analysis. I look hot in a pink, oxford-cloth button down shirt... with the tail untucked. Did you know those are hard to find these days? I feel lucky to have a peach colored one. One of my friends got a vintage pink Ralph Lauren Polo at goodwill; i was so jealous, but I would never fit in it (his shirt, that is...).

I like blue a whole damn lot, too.
 
Blue is my favorite color. Half my wardrobe is blue and my bed sheets are blue. so yah... that statement is not true for me at all.

Theres obviously a color gender thing.Its in the society.

Pink is the main color of Barbie.Its not for nothing that the car,house and clothes of Barbie are pink.Those who made Barbie are aware of the color gender thing.Toys for boys are mostly every colors but not pink.

I cant stand that gay men are still linked to the pink color more than the blue color.

Those who made the color gender thing should be aware that gay men are men.

Absolutely. My homophobic asshole boss can't stand anything pink. To the point that if he gets a pink paper clip he throws it out and gets another one. blah.
It is called insecurity. Pink is not my favorite color , blue and purple are. But if i end up with something that has pink in it ( ie. a tie etc). I dont care.
 
I love blue and don't care that much for pink (except Piggy). Does that mean I not gay :eek::help:
