Yeah! The intensity is there.

I'm from Philadelphia. This year's Flyers are so easy to root for. It's hard to remember that last year they were dead last in the league. (I blame Peter Forsberg. Last year's team was so reliant on him that when he was injured they had no resources to fall back on.)

However, I've seen only two of the current contenders in person this year...and they're the two Western finalists. I've gone on record as saying I think Detroit will win it all. They have everything...two great goalies, defense the whole league would be thrilled to have, and scoring from a variety of lines.

I did see Dallas win twice this season, though. It's gonna be a rough series. But I really don't think Marty Turco has enough to carry the Stars this season.

Marty Biron, on the other hand, has it. It's his first playoff year; he never got to play playoff games in Buffalo, and this is his chance to shine. He's doing the job.

Detroit.

Red Wings.

That is what makes hockey go great especially at Stanley Cup time.

Seven wins away after tonight -

Detroit did what I feared tonight. Beat Dallas 4-1.

We've got to talk girl.

when the Red Wings play I want ever game to be 8-0 Detroit so I don't have to sweat!

and I do observe its not playoff hockey it is Stanley Cup Playoffs but then I am very old school on these things so ignore me!

we have to post a lot in appreciation for getting our sports forum back!

tis has nothing to do with sports but if you know anything about Ontario California please PM me - it is a place where I may or may not consider moving to - really concerned with life style and cost of living issues

back to sports

Penguins have had their time - but I have to go with my Red Wings

Michigan is a hockey state - a lot of us love it madly passionately devoutly avidly

If there's a Detroit/Penguins Stanley Cup Finals this thread will be very interesting :D

If there is a Red Wings-Penguins Stanley Cup finals it'll be a four game thread and I'll keep giving my friend a hankerchief and a shoulder to cry on...

actually would be good for our post counts here!

I appreciate anything on Ontario CA

Dallas forward thug Mike Ribeiro swings his stick from behind the net, hitting Detroit goalie Chris Osgood in the chest and sending him backward onto the ice AFTER THE GAME IS OVER.

Red Wings up 2-0 despite the cheap shot gansta tactics from Dallas.

Like I said.

Pens vs Wings. Stanley Cup Finals. :)

Yay Pens. 2-0 in the series.

If both series go 4-0, I just hope we don't have to wait ten days before the finals. Pens and Wings look impressive.

Red Wings lead 3-0

if this ends up Red Wings vs Penguins lets have a new thread

I'm just getting into ice hockey now, I'm not usually a sports guy but I'm loving it!

Any hockey players in particular I should be aware of?

Love college hockey. As for the pros - not sure why they even have a season since half of it is used for the playoffs ;)
