One psychologist said that its all about brain connections in your brain.

If your brain connections are always pointing to god and the bible,
that brain cannot break the wiring system pointing to god.
That is why no matter about the facts and evidence pointing to evolution they still don't believe/understand evolution.

Do you agree with this psychologist ?

Do the brain connections point to god through the wiring system?

Do the brain connections point to god through the wiring system?

I mean when you are at the learning age,
if all you learn is about god, your brain connections are always pointed to god for the answers.
Therefore they cannot believe that evolution is true.

People are free to believe as they wish. There are many people who believe in both God and evolution, and find no conflict in that belief. Of course there are those who do not accept evolution, but again they are free to believe that. Your brian is not wired as pro-evolution or anti-evolution. You have the free will to make your own choices and decide for yourself. I do stress that evolution should be taught in school and creationism has no place in the classroom.

I agree with you.
But i want to know why some people don't believe in evolution despite all the facts and evidence pointing to evolution ? The wiring of the brain is the only explanation so far.

Well, that explains things like the Flat Earth Society... but I guess when you've been raised to believe something, it's hard to completely change your whole outlook on life.

When people you trust tell you something and people you don't know tell you differently, it is difficult at first to change your mind, but it is possible.

I believe that God used evolution as a tool in his creation, so I believe in both.

The problem is many people tend to think that one can explain a whole field of discipline in a single paragraph or less. Take my job, for example. I keep running into people who ask me what I do. My responsibilities cover a wide variety of things, and there is no way I can adequately explain it all in a couple sentences. I've also found that if I give a short synopsis, then people often times say they can do that.

Evolutionary biology is a its own discipline within biological studies. Many people, especially religious people, tend to think that this entire field of discipline could be shrunken down to a few paragraphs. This is the reason why young earth creationist cranks have been so successful in fooling people into believing all the evidence for biological evolution actually support young earth creationism and noah's flood.

I've also found that it's less of a headache to just ignore these people. If they want to believe in a fairy tale, let them. I'm done losing sleep over it.

How do you know that ????

It's very simple. Those who believe in evolution believe that mankind evolved from apes, and that goes against the Bible. God created Adam, not Cheetah who later became Adam.

It's similar to the Big Bang. Since the creation of the theory, the Catholic Church has denied it. The Big Bang is now accepted with the stipulation that 'God pushed the button'.

Well but that doesn't explain why they don't believe in facts.
Only the wiring of the brain can explain that so far.

Because the only 'fact' is that God exists. Their brains are not wired to believe in God or in evolution like that guy says. 'Rewiring' might be a better word to use. Babies are born without knowledge of either God or evolution. They learn it as they grow up and come to believe in one or the other or even both. In other words, babies are not born 'Christian', and they certainly don't know who Charles Darwin was.

God is an easy answer to understand anything you can't understand---some people just need simple wiring to get thru life.

One of the most persistent myths, however, concerns the relationship of humans to great apes, a group of primates that includes the gorilla, orangutan and chimpanzee.http://science.howstuffworks.com/life/evolution/humans-descended-from-apes.htm

Apes and humans had a common ancestor.
As far as the age of the earth is concerned, if it were only 8,000 years old we would see no stars but our sun as the light of the other stars would not have reached us yes.
Today we see the past when we see the stars, some are already gone, we just see the light which is still traveling towards us.
As has been said, it is far more complex than one state in a paragraph.

This is the problem.

I believe in God because I was told that and I am not aware of any facts which have disproved that. Perhaps they haven't proved that there is a God, but they have not disproved that there is a God either. When I hear new scientific facts, I plug them into the story I already know and they expand my knowledge of that story filing it with details and explanations. Very generally, God said let there be light and there was the big bang and God continued creation with evolution. Everything seems to fit and science seems to be proving the bible. Of course there are various interpretations of the bible and I am using a generalized interpretation of it.

Another problem and never ending problem i bet.
How do you know "god said this god said that" ?

To answer the question.

Sounds reasonable to me
If you persist in believing in something that patently doesn't exist then you are not going to accept something that is scientifically proven
