Why some people don't believe in Evolution ?

Because the discussion is framed as a belief system when science has nothing to do with beliefs at all.

Quite so. Science is in the business of establishing facts, and the ways in which facts relate. It's about knowledge of what is, not belief in what might be.

Though, there are some believers who will assert there is a god by stating "I do not believe, I know!" and of course they do not know.

When you frame belief as a knowledge system, it looks even sillier.

Well, you are a militant theist ;)

I am just your regular neighbourhood devil's advocate attempting to remind you that your obsessive, compulsive focus berating theists for their beliefs is abusive..... when you are well aware that most Christians do not support, or believe in Creationist theories....the territory of so called Christian fundamentalists for the most part residing in the United States.

If you really want a vigorous debate on the matter of Creationism why not switch to the religion forum where you can bleat till your heart's content....I will endeavor to correct a few of your misapprehensions on this matter.

^ My original question was why do some people don't believe in Evolution (fact)
and i got my answer from a psychologist saying its all about the wiring of the brain.

You should say you agree or disagree with the psychologist and why instead of talking about me.
When you accused someone of something, you should expect a returned favor.

You have been invited by a poster here to cite the article that prompted your thread....will you please do so....so a few of us here can better understand what the psychologist is actually attempting to say....thank you...

So you didn't read.
I met him in the sauna.

For 2000 years since the Theocracy of Constantine, theists have "berated" non-believers with pikes, boiling oil, and the sword. For almost all of that time, until the Enlightenment began to throw of the dictatorship of the Christian church, the people under the church's thumb were expected to accept the biblical account of creation as, if not strictly literal, sufficiently robust and complete to forestall any additional or alternative thought on the matter, on pain of death.

To point this out, and to push for the final repeal of christian theocracy in all of its pernicious and on-going forms, is not abusive, nor compulsive. It is principled, and necessary. While we can accept your welcome assertion that most christians now reject the historic teachings of the church on creation, your continued devilish advocacy will not prevent continuing pressure for the church to retreat into the private sphere where it belongs.

One psychologist said that its all about brain connections in your brain.

If your brain connections are always pointing to god and the bible,
that brain cannot break the wiring system pointing to god.
That is why no matter about the facts and evidence pointing to evolution they still don't believe/understand evolution.

Do you agree with this psychologist ?

Personality type issues arise here...this is a delicate matter for discussion on a public forum...and not recommended.

Brain washing can be reversed with education, through ones daily life experiences that helps the victim to recover from their trauma.

Political, religious, or ideological brainwashing, or social engineering by any other name is common with the further thought that where one reads religious indoctrination, one can also read atheist indoctrination.....

The thinking processes of a human person can be transformed to enable them to think for themselves without an obligation to embrace any one religious, political, or ideological theory...

That's true....but the theists posting here are not responsible.....it's the atheists here who are replicating the worst excesses of such inspirations as Richard Dawkins...worth mentioning for he is often cited by those atheists here who enjoy abusing the site's theists.

Sorry Telstra, but your psychologist is full shit. Brains can be re-wired. Hell, many governments have dedicated camps that do just that, and are very successful in that regard.

I'm talking about a person who won't and will NEVER accept evolution no matter the evidence.
And that psychologist gave me the answer saying that there are too many nerves in his/her brain are connected to the god idea.
Everywhere he/she trying to think, all or most of his/her nerves are connected to god idea, that is why he/she will NEVER accept evolution because the god idea is blocking it.

Yes, brain can be re-wired.
You can tell that to the evolution denier ;)

Stubborn, ignorant people are as likely to be atheistic, as theistic.... merely, an unwillingness to face reality.....but...as I have already mentioned this matter also touches on issues such as Autism with OCD, and Asperger's related matters that I am not comfortable discussing on a public forum not wishing to give offence where there is none being expressed.

I'm working a night shift, and must leave in ten minutes so will thank you for your thoughts and c u tomorrow....
