He thinks someone from outside neighborhood did it. It was a local. Ca is not the liberal paradise as many people seem to think. #-o

Harsh reality: There will always, always be bigoted, homophobic and racist people. This is true in every city, state, country and society. Just because a majority is accepting or doesn't care, there will still be that one guy who just wants to make life a living hell for you.

Vandals. What can you do about them anyway.

Umm... this guy has a videoblog on Youtube. No wonder he might attract haters.

Looks like something a teenager would do. Sad little bugger that they are.
There are 30 years old teenager who do that :(

OK, he's in Indio.

California is a HUGE state with about 40 Million people and he's in a very rural, conservative part that's close to the Arizona border. Indio has a lot of retired military and agricultural workers.

(read Uptight old soldiers and farmers.)

Indio is a world away from West Hollywood.

^Ok thanks. I almost withdraw the whole thread. I thought it was in LA area...oops. Quite far and as you say it must be a really rural area but those houses look suburban.

Meh. Those houses look like the prefab ugliness that made the "Inland Empire" the punchline to a joke.

Imagine driving of hours as you serpentine up and down, back and forth and seeing endless housing developments that look.... like.... that.

Not a very deep scratch. He should get one of those Billy Mays Fix It Pro scratch repair pens.

Its probably closer to Palm Springs but yeah, area probably isn't that gay friendly.

California's not that gay tolerant. Remember prop 8. It's only LA (as in city of LA, not the suburbs) and the Bay Area that are gay friendly. Other parts of the state are pretty split, or lean anti gay, including San Diego and Santa Barbara.

Well not entirely. I mean, Palm Springs has the highest gay population per capita in the world.

There's plenty of gay friendly areas but there's also huge agrarian areas or ranching areas that are still very conservative.

i would leave it on my car as a badge of honor lol

u know the guy who wrote that probably had his dad or uncle rape him or some shit.

It amazes me that people are amazed that homophobia still exists. Too many of us have been dilluted into thinking that it's become this thing of the past, or that it's limited to the 45+ sect. I notice that every time some kind of anti-gay sentiment happens in California or New York, some shockingly proclaim "I thought it was gay-friendly..." Yeah, who told you that?

The car appears to be a Corolla. He should return it to Toyota and say that the scratch was a result of unintended acceleration.

He's a cute guy.

Focus on what?
How cute he is, you ninny! :D

*hotdog becomes serious*

I bet it was just a bunch of neighborhood kids. But even so ... I just read in the paper a couple days ago about two guys who would go into San Francisco just to gay-bash with a BB gun, and that's hardly the first time I've heard of such a thing. There's really not anyplace that's totally safe. We're just too small and disliked a minority...

Well, California really is not much different than most other states in the U.S. There are certain areas of every city, which are more liberal and others that are more conservative. If it is more liberal, it is simply a proportional issue as opposed to most other states; in other words, there are more people here, over 30 million to be exact, so there are going to be more liberal people and locations as a result.

Unfortunately, I think people who have not visited California or people who simply have not stayed here long enough have this deluded belief about the residents. Everyone does not walk around discussing deep and profound subjects to great length, sipping tea and crumpets, while embracing differences of his or her fellow man. If you can find anywhere else, you'll find it in Cali.

meh. So what was this guy's point in making a YouTube video? Is he trying to get help "catching the bad guy" on tonight's Americ'a Most Wanted? lol

I mean dude seriously---you have no evidence of who did it, so file the insurance claim report and get over yourself.
