Why the hell is Vincent still on Project Runway?

He's probably the worst designer they've ever had on the show. I honestly don't know how he got on there to begin with.

His expressions are hilarious. That crazy grimace he does when he stares at his dresses is so funny!

I was also shocked that Vincent was voted in, while Alison was voted out! Yes, Alison's dress, and the poor model's hair, were a bit too ridiculous; but, nothing in comparison with Vincent's style. Since the beginning, Alison has proven herself to be a gifted designer; while Vincent keeps getting weirder and weirder in his designs.

Alison was one of my favorite in any of the seasons. She wasn't only talented but very down to earth and she looked like a genuinely nice person. She was pleasant to watch and now she's gone.

they're keeping vincent around for the 'freak' factor.. if you watch the end credits of the show you'll notice it says that the judges consult the producers before making their decisions.. i personally feel like seeing idiots like vincent is a waste of my time since i like the show because i respect the talent of REAL designers, but producers just think these weirdos make good tv..

I love Laura and her reaction to vincent.

She said something like "he's crazy and one day he's going to crack; he's mentaly unstable"

then it showed her mocking this horrible face he was making....god i loved it.

Because Heidi and the other judges are smoking Ajax, it really is a TRAVESTY that Alison goes home after one bad design and Vincent and Kayne are allowed to stay after several trainwrecks.

I agree about Vincent. He's such a weasel.

They kind of had to keep Kayne around after doing the dress for Miss America.

There should be some kind of mechanism for looking at the competition-long body of work by this point in the contest. Vincent routinely makes bad dresses. They're just not the single worst creations in any given episode.

BTW . . . How long does the actual contest last? They get one or two days per challenge. Does that mean the filming was done in about three weeks? Just wondering.

yes, exactly.. although the show takes about 3 months for all episodes to air, the designers are only @ parson's for about 3 weeks..

It is fucking stupid that Vincent CONSISTENTLY made awful pieces and stayed, while Allison made beautiful garment after beautiful garment (besides the last one), and gets "Aufed." Whatever! I can't stand Vincent. My top three are Michael, Laura, and Robert.

what is the grand prize on the show?
sorry if thats a dumb question but this is the first season ive seen any of so i dont know

An internship with I.N.C. (last season it was Banana Republic), a car (I think), $100,000 to start their line, and to show their collection during Olympus fashion week in New York. But none of the past winners have taken part in their internship. Which brings me to another piont, and I've said this before, but I can't get over it! DANIEL VOSOVIC SHOULD HAVE WON last season!! Chloe is talented, but her final collection was a hot mess. Plus, she didn't even pursue her career any further. She just went back and did what she did before the show. It's like she did it for free publicity for her store. Whatever.

lots of the designers have had success before coming to the show, but like people have already said.. NOBODY cares about the internship.. the REAL prize is the $100,000 and the millions and milllions in free publicity for the designers on the show.. it doesn't even really matter who wins (especially if you can make it to the final 3) because through the process, the fashion industry learns who you are (something that can take 20, 30, 40 years otherwise) and America can decide for themselves who their favorites are.. The "Palm Beach" ladies who loved Austin Scarlett's clothes would NEVER consider wearing anything Jay McCarroll makes, the girls who'd buy Nick Verreos' designs wouldn't be caught dead in Chloe's, etc. Since fashion is subjective, it's the publicity that's the REAL prize, so that's why designers of ALL ages can benefit from just doing well on the show whether they win or not..

I hated to see Alison go!!! Vincent should have been the one to go with that crappy art project dress. My 6 year old nephew could have done better!!! I think the real reason she went was because she was too nice and sweet. She did not create enough "drama" for the show and as we know you can't do a reality show without a bunch of drama queens. She always created unique beautiful outfits while vincent has merely created crap and thought it was the greatest thing ever.

and can you guys believe that fucking hat he made on the first challenge!?!?!

They got rid of alison simply for the shock value! that is the only reason that I can think of that makes any sense...because she was one of my absolute favorites since the beginning!! Now I am hoping that the winner is either Laura or Uli

i personally never thought alison was all that great, so i definitely wasn't 'shocked'.. michael's the only designer this season i've liked consistantly, laura's made some nice things, and kayne's 'marilyn' dress was pretty awesome, but i seriously doubt they'd eliminate someone they thought had any kind of legitimate shot at the final 3 just for shock value...

the same thing crossed my mind during season 1.. i didn't understand what wendy pepper was doing there since she was a 40-something mom, with seemingly less potential than many of the other designers, but by season 2 i started to realize that, while many of the 'youngsters' who graduate from prestigious design schools have learned to sew perfectly, they still haven't developed the taste level that can actually be marketable to real people, and in many cases (but certainly not all, ex: vincent's complete lack of style; daniel's innate sense of one, etc..) it can often take years of experience for a designer to develop the sensibilities that enable them to make clothes that women actually WANT to wear, so the decisions as to who gets in need to be based on a myriad of qualifications, and not simply how fast a person can make a dress.. i've started to think of the internship as more of an 'excuse' for banana republic (and now macy's) to just get their names mentioned 10 times a show, and less about any internship that may result.. lol..

I think Laura is turning into the next Pepper, The last three episodes shes had something negative to say towards the guys. I think shes a bitch just waiting to show her claws.

Plus everything she makes has the same style. It may be seen as "classic" but its also starting to bore.

laura's definitely a bitch, but she could design circles around wendy in her sleep.. her designs are kinda boring, but i can guarantee theres a HUGE market for what she does.. santino was NEVER boring, but i don't know many women who would ever want to wear anything he made.. one of the MAIN things the designers on the show need to be mindful of is what rich women will BUY, and laura intuitively understands that customer.. Most women want to stand-out, but not stick-out like a sore thumb.. it's a fine line, but the designs need to be original, but not ridiculous..
