You should have found something to step on to cut your foot, stepped on it...then sued their asses.

Noiro,
That's unfair of you.
Virtually every store has "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Entry" rules.
They are VALID health and safety concerns - no one wants to get sued for some
jerk (that'd be You) walking in in bare feet, stepping on a nail, staple, etc. -- they do come off cartons, or off shelves.

So, please try to be fair. The poor woman was probably terrified that she'd lose her job if she ALLOWED you in the store w/out suitable footwear.

Using your clout in this case was inappropriate. Better to turn it around and apologize for coming in w/out shoes, but maybe also suggest she might be a little bit friendlier in her approach -- "you know the owner and you know he'd appreciate you making it a win-win" or something like that.

You can rant back at me for being an Asshole but, perhaps you should look at the title YOU put on this thread, THEN look in the mirror.

Sometimes, we're our own worst enemies.

She was stupid because she didn't know you were tight with the manager and brought in a lot of money so allowed to be bare foot in the store?

Or is there no real rule against walking barefoot in that store?

Well, in the person's defense, when I was a manager for a store I would have made people leave if they had no shoes on. It's a liability thing.

Plus it is a gross factor. Who wants your sweaty foot on the floor when they could have the pristine, sterile surface of your shoe instead?

Noiro,
I'll give you back partial credit for the response you posted while I was drafting mine.

Matter, I think, perhaps, you missed the sarcasm in that post.

The fact that you wanted to walk around barefoot is more of a concern than anything else. That's just nastayyyy.

I share the same sentiments as Don's.

Exactly!

So this other person is "stupid" when this moron wants to walk around barefoot and then try to get her fired when she tries to enforce a simple request.

Please tell me what store this is, so that I can avoid ever going there, and or make sure corporate knows about said "sure, go barefoot" policy by a supposed store owner/francishee.

Thanks!

..| Maybe the employee could sue for bieng wrongfully dissmissed

I miss the days when they would chase you out for being colored and not due to the state of your footwear. When will equality come? When? I ask you.

Noiro,
Did you ever expect this thread to become so HOT! Now we're equating the "No Shoes" with "No Coloreds" of a previous era.

Not even close to the same thing. And yes, I sensed a vein of the absurd in the comment -- too too nasty a place to go to use it as a comparable to this situation.

Sorry, that's my Humble Opinion.
Valid Safety concerns vs. Bigotry and hatred.
Yeah, that's real balanced.

Employee vs. "the customer is always retarded".

fixed that for you.

this story is hilarious, except for the fact that some batshit crazy woman out there is out of work and probably won't be able to afford shoes now :p you should give her yours.

and that walking in nasty ass stores barefoot should only be a matter of "I got fucked up and lost my footwear"

I think it is a dumb-ass move on anyones part to walk into a store bare-foot. It is just nasty. If your feet are as hard as you say, they probably look 'jacked up", who the hell wants to see that?

Your a cocky dick to push the limit and use the fact that your friend owns the store to your advantage. :)
