Why Why Why Why are people so stupid

I went walking with a friend and while we were chattering I apparently walked right over a whole patch of broken windshield. he was like "DUDE! GLASS!!" It felt like gravel
Don't try that with a broken beer bottle. Auto glass is safety glass - it's designed not to be sharp enough to cut easily when it breaks.

I miss the days when they would chase you out for being colored and not due to the state of your footwear.
When did they used to not allow tattooed people to shop?

I think feet just look funny.

and the colored girls go:doo da doo da doo, doo doo doo, doo da doo da doo ♪ ...

In many States I wouldn't doubt that "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service" could be challenged.

As some know, I'm a transit bus operator.

In Oregon the courts have ruled in such a way that I was told a totally nude person could ride the bus. So I'm sure not going to confront a barefoot passenger....

If it's posted policy then she did the job she was hired to do...her boss is an idiot.

EDIT: as for the comment about my feet not being ticklish... It's interesting you should say that, because i have noticed they are actually quite a bit more ticklish than they used to be :bartshock

My feet are still prettier. ..|

You nasty f_ck.

They're the ones that have to clean up the floor and you may not think that your feet arent smelly but they are. NO ONE wants to see that. You're outside; put on some sandals.

It's not hot; it's not cool; it's not hip.

She may have overreacted but she's in the right and I'm with her. Plus your little ego trip of calling a friend to look cool sounds like something Heidi from the Hills would do.

Don't most stores have that sign. "No shirt, no shoes, no service?"

Put on shoes next time.

lol, i thought I would be the only one who dissented in this thread, nice to know other people have some sense of civilization as well.

So I go into a store.

Big deal right?

...barefoot... OH NOES ENDZ OV WORLDZ!!!!!

Or so this woman thought. She immediately started trying to shove me out of the store, physically pushing me. :O I mean this woman was mad, not mad as in angry, mad as in cookoo. She was citing health department codes. (health department? Oh maybe she meant department of ag...)

I go "Ma'am let me talk to your manager."
"I AM THE MANAGER AND YOU MUST LEAVE NOW! Or i'm calling the cops!"

by now I'm starting to giggle. "what's so funny Mister!?!"
"oh nothing, hang on..." I put my phone up to my ear, "Dale, yeah, hey it's john.... no... you heard that? I dunno what's going on. Why don't you talk to your new manager.... Ma'am, the store owner wants to talk to you."

:rotflmao:

me and the owner are like... *crosses fingers* we're tight. mainly because of all the money I bring into that place through referrals.

I hand the phone to her, "I'll be looking around. bring me my phone back when you're through please."

I got a text on the walk home "no neone lukin 4 job?"

holy shit are you ever an asshole. the manager was doing her job to ensure that health risks/liability etc were being adhered to, and instead you call the owner and have her fired?

what a dickbag. i hope karma comes around and slaps some sense into that thick skull of yours. the only stupid person in this scenario is you.

You and the manager handled it badly.

Good on both of you.

I just LOVE how Orion is the asshole who needs my dear friend karma to be the true bitch that she can be when the woman - without speaking, without a warning, without a thought - immediately goes and violently pushes a customer out of the store as if the person has a gun or has made a threat upon their life. It's only ironic(so i saw it) that he just so happened to be on the phone with his friend - the store owner. Had he called him as it happened, it wouldn't be as ironic - but it wouldn't make her more right.

It's also funny that because people ASSUME that all stores have the "No Shoes No Shirt No Service" sign, that they think that's the way it should be. My store has no such sign.

I'm also laughing hysterically at this point because people assume people without shoes track in their sweat, and that their feet stink, AND no one wants to look and see that you have no shoes on, but you're probably the same people that wouldn't kick out a person with horrendous body odor because it might be "culturally insensitive". Nor would you faint at the sight of a man with feet as crusty as gravel - unless he came out of his sandals.

You people and your reading comprehension problems... it's becoming a disease.

yeah, well if orion thought the situation was dramatic enough to vent over it on a message board, i'm also assuming that the manager wasn't physically pushing him out the door either. certainly not "violently" like you suggest. i think that detail may have been stretched a little, considering the tone of the whole post.

Noir,
Did you EVER imagine that your love of walking au Natural and the post at the top of this thread would generate all of this?

Maybe you did. If memory serves me, like G90, you can be Outspoken in your field, so to speak. lol.

And, I guess, if my only choices are to be or not to be, I'd rather be an ass hole -- Everyody needs one -- at least for the basic biological function it was originally designed for, if not the more esoteric fucktions members of this forum might enjoy utilizing it for!

Think where you'd be if you didn't have one -- all your Blue eyes would soon be brown, as the level of SHIT inside you kept rising!

And, for those who enjoy partaking of the man vagina known as Sphincter, think of the fun and enjoyment you'd be missing out on.
Now, seriously, isn't it more fun to be an ass hole than not?

At least we look in the mirror when we make comments, and try not to take ourselve too seriously -- life is too short for that.

Luv 'n Kisses - and maybe a lick or two, too?! :hump: :sex:  :hurray: :69: :fellate: **wars** :didisay:

Really? I would bet her thoughts went something like: "WTF! Can't this twat read or just see the signs? He must be some bum? "irregardless" this ain't his house!?"

Of course, it's possible there were no such signs indicating rules at that store, but that's why I asked in my first post; it was ignored.

Also, yeah the lady over reacted, but as I saw it, she was doing her job and that's not stupid. She would be stupid if part of the training for that job is to be familiar with Noiro's connections to the store and the special rules that apply to him in that store. That's why I also asked about that, but didn't get an answer.

its not the full story.
Why do people always judge on threads ?
Everyone are ALL idiots !!! ;)

Sorry, I don't care how much better "shoeless" life is. You don't live in a third world country, and it is just disgusting.

I mean what is the rates of bacteria ridden, diseased, nasty looking feet for barefoot life compared to people who wear shoes?

It isn't like your living in nature.

Should she have been fired? Yes, she pushed you, and thats a liability for the store. You could easily have sued them. Doesn't change my feelings.

...

for clarifications purposes. She was fired, once again, for physically pushing a customer. She wasn't fired for trying to make me wear shoes (though I do have a problem with that on merit, that wasn't my beef) It was being physically touched and shoved. And once again if anyone wants to put on their reading comprehension hat, they'll see I would have as clarified later, been more than happy to put my shoes on and talk to her regarding the issue. But instead I find it funny I'm being called the uncivilized one, the dirty scumbag for not wearing shoes when this bitch thinks she can lay a hand on me without warning or provocation.

By those same thoughts, maybe she wouldn't have tried to shove or physically push you if you had asked or talked to her regarding the issue before walking in barefoot. I agree she over reacted, but my guess is if she knew you like the owner knows you she would have reacted differently. That's why I ask if it was part of her training to know about you and your connections with the owner.
