This is a burning question I have. No, i'm not a very religious person, but i do believe there is a God, he created, the world, he creates people. Anyways if i'm not mistaken the bible says that the lord doesnt appreciate/like homosexuality. That raises the questiin why would he create gay or lesbian people?

I've always thought of it as sort of a "brake" that is meant to limit the population of a species. It hasn't worked entirely well (there are still possibly more human beings than this planet can easily support), but I understand that if there was "10% more human procreation" over the ages, global population wouldn't merely be 10% higher, but about double from what it currently is. That's because you have 10% **COMPOUNDED** (just like computing accrued interest), and compounding does some rather strange things to numbers.

There's no god, thread fails, close it.

:corn:

Hmm. I was kinda thinking that too. But really you'd think God would make it easier for us. We have bad enough as it is

if god existed why would he do anything he does

for someone who is sposed to be omniscient shouldnt' he have known that when he created man and woman they would be tray his trust...

or is he like dr manhatten... and he just lets things happen the way they are because he exists at all tiems all the time and doesn't know what is a memory and what is the future

what if god didn't create gays.. what if the devil did that and god was just like.. we'll see who wins... mwahahha...

not very likely....

the concept of god makes no sense to me... unless the all powerful being isn't as all powerful as the bible makes him out to be....

It's almost like god does not exist and is just a made up entity to control the masses and bleed them dry, while offering up sacrafical hate figures to motivate the indoctrianted.

Or he does exist and its a really deep question?

Here's one question: Should the Bible really have more than an oblique moral influence on today's society?

Here's another: Did you know?: The Bible and the Bible's God REALLY doesn't say much about homosexuality. The passages that might be cited are about temple prostitution and things like that.

Hey man...
JUB is a tough place to ask such a question. Most guys here don't believe in God.
And most guys here ridicule any one that does.
It's a shame but it's a fact.
I sort of understand why that's so... but it does bother me that so many people here cannot understand that gay guys do have faith and some of us do believe in God.
But that's another subject.

The Bible has the Old and New Testament. Nothing in the NT says anything against gay people.
Why would God create a person like Adolph Hitler, or Joseph Stalin? or create any evil person? Why does he also create wonderful people... like you.
I won't go on writing on this thread cause I'm sure that I will be ridiculed for believing in God...
but if you want to talk one on one about it, well I'd like you to pm me.
Up to you of course.

Why would god make stupid people full of hate?

Gentleman
God has his reasons and been gay is not a sin like some like to portray they twist the biblical versus to suit their doctrines.

I give God thanks every day of my life but im not a religious bible basher. I am gay and love heavy metal and everything in between. Does that make me more evil that the Alice and wonderland viewers i guess not.

I don't know about you but God made me gay so I can bring laughter to this world. As for the Bible, just because you believe in God doesn't mean you have to be a Bible-worm. Think of it as a driving permit's booklet, once you read all the rules and comprehended them, you throw the booklet away and start learning to drive on your own. I don't know why so many people keep associating God with the Bible. Any bright mind individuals can comprehend the works of God just by looking at their surrounding. Psst..I'll let you in on a secret...God had nothing to do with the Bible. Keep it on the down low, ok? :)

p.s. I only used the term God because it's short and simple, and people are familiar with that term.

Why do we even have a bible? Bibles are retarded.

Reminded me of this pic that was sent to me sometime ago

If one accepts that god exists and that god creates things, and subsequently wonders why he makes humans gay if he hates homosexuality, it would also seem prudent to ask why god makes homosexual animals.

Let us ignore the virulent ("bitter gay")atheists on here who believe existence created itself with no cause.. and assume your eminently reasonable proposition of a creator God is true.

Forgive me if i missinterpreted your implication, but i get the sense that you believe the notion that the universe 'created itself with no cause' is absurd. A truly sincere question, why (if this is infact what you believe) if god may exist without a cause, is it absurd to believe that the universe could exist without a cause. If we accept some ceiling to our conceivable knowledge at that point which transcends our material ability to comprehend, surely to insert the presence of a god is a superfluous step above that ceiling, simply shifting the question of 'how did existence start' to the next wrung on the ladder. Thoughts?

A-men Tony. Well put

You are mistaken.

I highly recommend that you bookmark this link and peruse it at your leisure. You will discover that everything you are told about homosexuality within the Bible is a 'mistranslation' or a 'misinterpretation' by those who think it's wrong. It is they, in fact, who are wrong:

ReligiousTolerance.org - Homosexuality & bisexuality, explained from all viewpoints

^ See my post above yours. The 'Religious Tolerance' group talks about all those passages you're thinking about and they compare the direct translations from the original script (included) to the churches' translations. They are vastly different.
