  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Why would God make someone gay?

I'm sorry but that's just fucked up. You were designed by god to have strong feelings of love and sexual attraction towards other men solely for the purpose of humoring straight people??

How in the world did you come to that conclusion from: bringing laughter to the world??

I cannot say for sure why God would create gays, but he did. Yes, I do believe in God. I think alot of what is in the bible has been misinterpreted. Remember that is over 2000 years old. People have interpreted the ancient text, I think in ways to benefit their own agenda, so we may not really know God's true feelings on homosexuality.

God made me who I am. That I know. Why would anyone "Choose" this lifestyle? To be hated, outcasted, and in some cases subject to physical and mental abuse? No, it is not a choice. God made me this way as part of his master plan. It is not for us to understand that, maybe when I get to heaven, I will, but now is not the time

Are you implying that athiest never make the claim "God does not exist"? (And then fail to justify this claim?)

Are you deliberately avoiding the point?

It is a matter of opinion wether a claim is fantastical or not. The idea that matter "just exists" is not a scientific one. What is so understandable about the random existence of things? As I pointed out before..science looks for causation. God is a supernatural stance but also an acknowledgment of the limits of humans ability to understand ultimate reality.

Virgin Birth, resurrection, Omnipotent, omniscient beings, no its not opinon. The rest is just equivocation.

I don't make the claim "A God exists" but everythings existence can be posited as evidence of God. If someone is dead at the bottom of the stairs they could have fallen or been pushed. If you don't know wether they were murdered or fell then neither claim is more valid.

Again and slowly, if you make a claim, you have to prove it. There is no proof at all of a god, it's silly to say something you can't prove exists, then pretend your assertion is just as valid as someone asking for proof, and anyway, you don't make the claim that god exists, yet everything in existence can be posited as evidence of something you don't believe? One wonders why you don't believe in god, evidence you accept is everywhere apparently.

The arguments against God would have to encapsulate every possible philisophical and rational stance against God. Rather than weak claims that God is superfluous or the argument from incredulity.

Why? There is no logical reason to believe something for which there is absolutely no evidence to begin with, yet you want to throw the burden of proof on others to disprove what you don't believe anyway. Nice. You just did what you accuse others of. You like to throw logical fallacies, but, really, try not to commit them yourself.

God is a proper noun so it is just petty not to capitalise the G. (Which actually says alot about the belligerence behind the atheist stance)

LOL. I'm not an Atheist.

This is a burning question I have. No, i'm not a very religious person, but i do believe there is a God, he created, the world, he creates people. Anyways if i'm not mistaken the bible says that the lord doesnt appreciate/like homosexuality. That raises the questiin why would he create gay or lesbian people?

When you can understand that "god," in the way that you've defined it, does not exist, then you can begin to allow yourself to be who you are.
