Here I am starting 2025 with Comcast service interruptions.
I'm told by the apartment management that my building is WiFi wired for Xfinity, and I can't switch to a different ISP.

Looks like I'm stuck with "part-time" service paying a "full-time" monthly rate.
 
So the building management is getting a kickback from Comcast - but there is nothing to stop you from getting a 5G service like from Verizon or ATT if it is available in your area.

Also call and ask for credit for each day you do not have service - if you and enough of your neighbors do that maybe getting things working in your building will become a higher priority to Comcast.

I'm making a diary of each incident to share with my neighbors and Comcast, also waiting for an actual human from customer service to contact me.
 
It might be well worth considering cell network technology, as suggested above. I know one person who made this transition years back and has been happy (although with only basic browsing needs). Someone else whom I know is doing this now out of necessity, and while not 100% happy (due to some demanding needs), finds it's good enough for the moment.

If nothing else, the threat of moving on might make Comcast more willing to address the issue.
 
The Xfinity Customer Service community forum is letting customers know that they are aware of traffic level issues with node 24.124.128.162.
 
I received a message from the apartment management office, an Xfinity technician was at my building last week and reported the following:

"Service upgrades and some of that work is held back by permitting delays right now. Because of this, it is saturating the route traffic through 24.124.128.162. Unfortunately, no timeframe is available for when this issue will be fixed because it's stuck in red tape".
 
Then they should not charge or at LEAST should charge a lower rate until it is fixed.
 
Since my ISP isn't responding to my requests, the apartment management is reaching out to Comcast/Xfinity for a rate refund for all eligible tenants.
 
My ex used to work at Comcast's call center. But in New Jersey. And since we've lost all touch...I'm no help.

I'm making progress now that the property management has stepped in - the poor service is affecting the building's office staff too.
