^ You'll have to excuse Laika. He's never heard someone with an accent before. It scares him.

that's probably why the friendly kills of the canadian soldiers have been credited to taliban?
or is that why there are so many dead civilians that were never mentioned?
seriously you need to read the logs. i recommend the guardian, imho they did the best job in making them accessible.

This Assange guy is beyond creepy. Hopefully he'll be arrested and charged before he releases anymore heavily edited videos. And the little scumbag who allegedly leaked that video should be charged with treason. Congressman Carney (D-PA) agrees and I applaud him.

Co-sign.
That asshole's ego is out of this world. I'm still trying to figure out what they're getting out of this.
A lot of local informants' lives might be at risk because some loser paid another loser to leak classified information.
Very unfortunate.

it is. it is a life insurance.
you have no clue what is in there, so your point is moot. wikileaks is on the safe side with their operations, the only way that they can get them is by unlawful moves from the US. and after a couple of other abductions and the likes we do know that the US won't care a bit about it, so this is their insurance.
Using information like this is irresponsible and unforgivable. It de-legitimizes any purpose they might have, and makes them look like arrogant little pricks out to stroke their own ego instead of helping people.
He thinks he's doing some great thing, and doesn't understand that the information he releases will cause harm to innocent people in Afghanistan and Iraq. He claims they vet the information very carefully, and yet they left quite a significant amount of information in that afghan leak that put dozens of afghan lives at risk. He's full of shit, and is only interested in stroking his own ego.

The US would be well-within their rights to arrest Assange and have wikileaks shut-down. There would be nothing unlawful about it. Whether or not they're doing good for the soldiers and revealing information to show what the war is really like depends on your point of view. What cannot be argued is that what wikileaks and Assange are doing is ethically suspect, and borderline criminal.
What have they done for society except put Americans and our allies' lives in jeopardy? I can only imagine how many people have died because of the information Assange and his crew have released. The Taliban have already admitted they will be going after the Afghani U.S. informants listed in the released documents. I hope Mr. Assange is proud. If Obama has any balls he will shut down the website and track down Assange.
