So apparently like a miracle, Will & Grace is renewed - or more precisely, resurrected.
That was the news from several months ago.

Two days ago, the first episode of the new season 9 just made its premiere. It still have some of its old, acerbic and sharply dissecting humorous bullets - despite the content is too political and one-directional (IMO). It's still great though albeit imperfect. Hope the next episodes would be better (and preferably for me not so political).

I like how Grace uses Cheetos to represent the room's owner's colour though :dead:

What do you guys think of it (especially old audiences)?

I'm not from the US so I didn't care for a Trump-centered episode, it lacked the heart and nostalgia factor I expected. I hope going political was their way to connect with new audiences and the show eventually goes back to its old self.

We both laughed out loud more than once which is rare with prime time anymore. Expected politics to be featured but the ensemble was as crisp as ever. We'll be back next week.

It was okay, but I think that I will get bored quickly. Actually there were a few lines that surprised me, although I don't remember what they were now.

Ill be honest. I wanted Grace to be a mom with a ten year old daughter driving her crazy. But outside of that, they are still sharp and the shade and physical comedy is still on point. Im going to watch more episodes to see where they go with it.....
PS: I think Karen and Graces new assistant got something going on...

I figured he's the new Rosario, Karen is racist to him, Trump will have him deported and Karen will save him

The new episode was better, especially the bit with Will and his date

I do not find the show as funny as the original series was. Hopefully, it will get better. We shall see.

Oh please! The last show was a classic. Karen and Grace in the shower. Will with his 23 y/o date, Jake waiting for his in the dark and when the light hits his face I screamed in delight.

I thought episode 2 was an improvement too! Though I liked the first one I hope they continue in the vein of episode 2.

The Karen and Grace scene in the shower was taken from a Lucy show episode.

This past week's episode with Jack finding out he was a grandfather was the first show of the new season that I thought was actually funny. I also thought Andrew Ranells who guest starred this week along with Jane Lynch was funny too!
