Re: Funniest Will & Grace Character?

If we were to include recurring characters, I would have to call it a tie between Rosario and Beverly Leslie.

Re: Funniest Will & Grace Character?

Honey - it would have to be Karen...

Followed by Grace (I loved to hear her sing), Rosario, and yes Beverly Leslie.

Re: Funniest Will & Grace Character?

Val and Bobbi Adler are my favorite guests.

It's too hard to pick between the main characters. The only one that I could do without is Will, but even he had some good jokes.

They all got pretty stupid after, I think it was season 4. Right around when Leo showed up.

Re: Funniest Will & Grace Character?

I would have preferred to have called the show "Karen & Jack," or had a spinoff with the two characters.

Re: Funniest Will & Grace Character?

The funniest is the interplay between Jack and Karen. Neither one just by themselves are as good, but the comedy team of the 2 of them was the best thing on the show. And Rosie was the best recurring minor character. Harry Connick, Jr. was boring. Just my opinion.

took the words right outta my mouth. Jack annoyed the hell outta me, but him and Karen were HILARIOUS together. especially their slapfights. Grace had her moments too. my favorite was the Antique Roadshow episode...her impression of contestants was funny

Re: Funniest Will & Grace Character?

I love Grace, only in the way that she was always poking fun at her being fat and like eating a lot and such. But my favorite is easily Karen.
I love the one joke when Karen goes.
"Well Grace Alden, I can't believe what I'm hearing."
And Grace is wide eyed.
"ADLER, My last name is ADLER."

My feelings exactly. Karen was def the funniest of the main characters, but Rosario & Beverly Leslie gave me the biggest laughs, especially when they fought with Karen.

Re: Funniest Will & Grace Character?

I don't get to watch it much but from what I've seen I think Karen is the best. She's always funny.

Attention: Will & Grace Fans- Broadway musical to be created starring Karen Walker

Read it on Wikipedia and several other sources that Megan Mullally is creating a musical entitled "Karen: The Musical" with Jeff Blumenkrantz for music and lyrics. The musical will actually be about Karen obtaining her own musical, and, while no names have been dropped yet for a cast besides Mullally, it has been hinted that Leslie Jordan will be reprising his role as Beverly Leslie. No release has yet been slated and not much is known yet besides the title and the lead character.

I live in Chicago and as soon as it hits Broadway a bunch of friends and I are taking a roadtrip up to see it- crazy excited!

The best thing about Will and Grace (and the only reason I watched) was Megan Mullally.

I hope she does get a musical. I will pay retail for tickets.

Keep in mind that virtually all Broadway shows start in other cities prior to opening on Broadway. "Wicked" started out in San Francisco; "Aida" (the musical, not the opera) started in Atlanta. When I used to live in Minneapolis, the hotel I worked at housed the creative team from "The Lion King" during the pre-Broadway run. One of the perks of that job was that we often were given comp tickets to the show. The out-of-town trials is where they make changes to the show. I saw it 4-5 times and saw how it changed. The first time I saw it, it was just after they opened and it was nearly 3 hours long!

Anyway, my point is that if this does ever get made, they will open outside of New York. Since you're in Chicago, there's always a chance that they choose the Windy City for the trial. My Broadway IQ isn't what it used to be, so I can't point to Chicago trials. But, I do know that Cirque du Soleil's "Banana Spheel" just opened in Chicago to work on that show before they move it to the Beacon Theatre on Broadway.

I think that's great! Those Karen Walker vs. Beverly Leslie episodes were so funny.

^ Please tell me you're kidding!

I would love a Karen musical. Megan Mullally has a very good singing voice.

Re: Attention: Will & Grace Fans- Broadway musical to be created starring Karen Walker

Sorry to burst your bubble, but toward the end of Will and Grace's run there was an internet show that revolved around a fictional "Karen Walker: the Musical."

(Sort of like the "Seinfeld Reunion" on Curb Your Enthusiasm.)

It was just done for fun.

I suspect that's what you're referring to.

Unless they took the joke and decided to run with it.
