Attention Will you be buried or cremated when you die?

One thing you may want to think about if you're going to be cremated. You may wish to have your ashes scattered, or buried in the ground at a cemetery. If you have your ashes placed in an urn, in the care of a loved one, the disposition of your ashes will then become a problem when your loved one passes on, for whoever will take care of their estate. In the worst case, strangers might be hired to clear the house of their possessions, and they just won't want to be bothered figuring out what to do with the cremains of someone they never knew, and throw them out with the garbage.

I wish I'd taken up that option when it was offered to me, I've really no idea what to do with my mum's ashes, i myself shall be cremated.

Donate yourself to science. It could be the last useful thing you do, and you might help train some future doctor or scientist that cures cancer or something. Then let them figure out what to do with you.

Plus you might get one last fuck.

I am going into a niche, aka a hole in a wall.

Anyone here look into above ground burial? The cemetery I am going to offers that as well.

My grandfather was a West Virginia coal miner. He said he spent his life under the ground he wasn’t going to spend his death there too. So he’s in a mausoleum

Understandable.

The niche I will be placed in shares a building with a mausoleum. One above ground burial started at $15K when I bought my niche and the others I bought in 2012. I imagine they are way more now.

You mean "would like" or "would rather"... who can tell what control WILL we have over that...

Bog body

I've never been able to get a good tan.

It's not like anyone will come to visit my gravesite, I don't have any friends that I see in person and my family are a bunch of self centered narcissistic drunkards so they won't bother either! Cremated again who would do anything with me after it was done? I am seriously thinking might as well go to science and help someone learn at least someone will have a use for me!

Or maybe another way?

Thank you :)

I want to be cremated...mostly because it seems like a big waste of money for a typical burial. I hadn't given it much thought as to what should happen with the ashes. My siblings are my getting old like me and at least two of them have gardens. Put me there, I don't care.
