Windows 7 is a tyrant!

Kuli, just remove the yahoo toolbar from add-ons or kill it from "manage search engines" in firefox. Don't use the registry for it.

^ That, I believe, I can help you with. If you mean the Yahoo search box in the upper-right corner of Firefox, you should see a little multicoloured icon with a small 'down' arrow just to the left of the search box.

Click the 'down' arrow and select Manage Search Engines. You can eliminate them from there.

I've spent more than an hour trying to do something that would have taken less than 45 seconds in XP: change the colors on my windows to something pleasant (the default colors are ghastly).
You can't do that in XP with themes, unless you're backwards and still use classic mode.

But you told me exactly how to get there! ..|

Now, if we could only expand our Cummunity Self-Help to matters beyond the PC and Win 7, lol.
