Windows 7 Pro x64 Install

Hey everyone,

I'm having a problem installing Windows 7 Pro x64. It keeps asking for CD/DVD drivers.

I've tried to install it on my physical machine and on a virtual machine, get the same problem. Do you think maybe the ISO didn't download all the way?

And yes, I have a 64-bit processor, otherwise it wouldn't get as far as it does.

Windows, despite what Redmond likes to think, does not always recognize things or install proper drivers.
Just off the top of my head, assuming you know what CD/DVD you HAVE.......I'd uncheck the "hide blah blah" button and see what happens.

Yeah, I tried that no change.

This might be really dumb........but is it possible you need 64 bit drivers for the CD/DVD drive?

is it a scsci drive? or on a raid controller (ugh!) ?

It's EIDE/PATA.

I figured it out. The iso didn't download all the way the first time. The first download was 1.6GB the second 3.0GB.

Works flawlessly now.
