Hello fellow Jubbers.

From time to time I run into guys that will wink at me in passing or tug on their crotches. I'm not overtly open, yet I think that the guys are saying that they know and are ok with it.

I usually don't respond beyond a smile and keep walking.

Once I was in an office setting and was leaving a fellow co-worker's office, he said thanks and winked; I said you're welcome and winked back. Well, that was the last he winked. Ha!! :D I was not disappointed, I just don't know how or don't want to misread other men intentions/meanings. Plus in the office setting, I wanted to know what he'd do if I winked back. :D

What do you think?

I don't get loads, yet I know what you mean. Especially since my gym regiment is becoming more physically visible.

Not sure I would want to have a sexual relationship or encounter with a fellow employee. Could make life at work real uncomfortable

Oh no!! I definitely was NOT insinuating sexual relation. I was speaking of the act of winking itself. How to interpret it.

I don't have many winking from other guys. They just stare at me all the time and not in the way of that I look awfull. It just can't be that all those men are interested in me in a sexual way. Because if it's true, it means that 25% of all maried men are bi(-curious).

I try to ignore most of them, because some are very hot that I can't stop looking myself. I don't know why girls don't do that often as men.

Can you post some self pics Mirage? I'm curious to see why so many men stare at you.

I reckon some people just wink as a reflex - it's like that insufferable cocking of the gun barrel with the thumb and index finger.

I don't know how to interpret winking either, it some so simple it can be innocently friendly or a sexual approval.

Oh, to live in simpler times with less-simple people.

Sorry guys, but sometimes a 'wink' is just that. No sexual connotations ("meet me in the john in 10!") or strange allusions are meant. After visiting these forums, I swear to god I feel like I should walk around with a blindfold over my guys, gag in my mouth and handcuffs, in case my 'thank you' to the checkout boy at the supermarket means I want to do him. Or would that combination of accessories mean I was into S & M? Oh shit. #-o

To MellowMel: if he winked, you winked back and he didn't know what the hell was going on...I think you can safely assume your colleague lives in 'simpler' times with me.

I tend to wink as a reflex. It's just something I unconsciously do. That, and SMILE at people. Call me weird! #-o

Keep smilin'!!(*8*)
Chaz ;)

Sorry can't do. I don't want to put my future career in danger. What I can remember is what some men say to me about my appearance. They say that I look very formal for my age without making me any older.

If someone asks me something without knowing me they think that I've got a high rank in the company instead of being an intern when I worked in an office.

I also talk as someone of 40 years of age when being 23 at the moment. When people meet me in person after they've spoken me on the phone they don't believe that they had me on the phone.

Because of my attitude and substance I can work excellent with people who are a lot older than me. When I'm with people with my age I'm almost a teacher to them without knowing more. That's why I only like men (relationship) who are older then me, because I'm more mature.

Strangely I don't think that's the only reason that they just look at me in the way they do. The reason for that is that they don't do it to others except me.

I don't get winking at all..The best I can come up with is, I interpret it as a friendly gesture mostly. And I still don't get it.

OK, I can interpret it as a friendly gesture. But I usually think the guy is saying I've seen you long enough and now know you like guys and that is ok. I use to smile at everyone when I saw them; the proverbial "smile and the world smiles back" Not!! So I just take my queue per person. Both male and female. A lot of guys in the NE region view it as a sign of softness. Although I like some of the Hip Hop fashion sense of the younger crowds, I far removed from projecting the thug persona. More educated professional look with an appreciation for finesse without the "bling". So I've learned how to be cordial without the smile unless triggered by the other individual; male or female.
