I don't like clothes. So, I definitely don't like bulky winter clothing.

no I don't like winter-- shorts and t-shirt for me. Mowing lawns, watering lawns, run through the hose, yes, still do at my age, but I sort of fake it.
winter--shovel snow,(when it falls) scraping windshields every morning, and sometimes night. Over dressed to stay warm. Slip and fall on my ass, old bones ache. No winter is not for me, and I live in Colorado.

I like it. I work in horticulture, so it's really the only season I get to skip the threadbare rags and look cute at work.

Plus, winter's kind of my season.

Yes I miss it though living in Florida. I got my cool stuff that I can hardly wear.
When I came to Florida from Washington DC I didn't even think of this.
A part of heavy metal history deals with this too. In the 1980's heavy leather and clothes were a sign of more heavy bands like Priest or Sabbath. Motorhead and King Diamond of Mercyful Fate.
But the genera of "Death Metal" sprung its American heart in Florida with Morbid Angel, DEATH, cannibal corpse, decide, etc... and there was no way these late 1980's death metal bands could wear all that leather in the humid & hot climate thus a change to skater shorts and less heavy foot wear with a tank top or tee shirt that west coast bands sort of had the option of like Metallica or Exodus.
You cannot wear long tight Ramones style black demin playing manatee Civic Center on July 18th screaming "I killed your Mother with a sledge hammer"

Winter clothing is the best. This is the one season where I actually give a damn about what I look like, instead of basically just rolling around in my closet and walking out into the world with whatever sticks...

I love wearing shirts and sweaters and wool coats with a scarf. Yeah...so Canadian

I hate the bulkiness, the weight and layering of winter clothes. I always try to find new ways to minimize the layers and still stay warm. So I look into technical fabrics used by sports and military industries. Like I'll wear a thin layer from UA or TAD that still keeps you warm and throw a pea-coat on top to blend in with the rest of the white people here. The only part I love is my winter boots that have nonslip coating, so I can walk fast with ease on icy sidewalks watching others slip and struggle.

Not exactly an option for this Canadian, fortunately I both love winter and don't get cold easily; I basically wear fall stuff until it's sub-zero (Celsius) and then just add a fleece hoodies, a hat and a pair of boots (unless it hits the -20/30s, then it's the full-on bulky gear).
man, i was born way to far south. i do agree with you.

My favorite winter clothing is a T shirt, flip flops, and shorts with a ticket in the pocket to Orlando.

When I can't get away I layer up: long underwear, flannel pj pants, log sleeve T's, flannel shirt. I hate the cold weather.
