Does anyone else share my hatred for wireless internet?
It's shit...shit, Shit, SHIT!!!:grrr::grrr::grrr: ](*,)

I hate it! It's so annoying. The connection speed fluctuate so much, it's fucking irritating!

Was downloading Friday 13th I...download the movie, nearly 600Mb, in 20min at a speed of almost 500KB/s. Now, I'm downloading Friday 13th II from the exact same site...the connection speed is now down to 40KB/s. ARGH!!!!

I am gonna have to respectfully disagree with you guys.... I love it.... It's the only way I can have Internet access at work... At the office everything is blocked. Sometimes I can't even get to sites that I need to do my work. Wireless internet has saved the day and enables me to get to whatever internet sites I need without restrictions.

In addition to this, I have used it to get directions and reserve hotels while on the road. I even used it to reserve a ticket at the airport once when I missed my flight. I also use it while I am at the bookstore or library studying.

So all in all, wireless internet is one of the technologies that has had the most impact on my life - and definitely for the better.

I use the Verizon service - not as fast as my Cox cable modem but it is sufficiently fast for what I need to do. I very rarely download stuff with wireless internet - all my downloads, I normally do using my Cox service.

I will agree that if wireless access is your primary means of Internet access then I would say that you have a problem with respect to downloading speeds but as a secondary internet access mechanism it is great!!!

I see where you're coming from. If it wasn't for wireless internet in this coffee shop I'm at right now, I wouldn't be able to use internet on my laptop and for that I am indeed grateful. However, being a download freak this wireless internet sucks big fat hairy donkey balls. Ah well...patience is a virtue! (so they say!). Gotta breathe deeply, close my eyes and keep repeating "happy place...happy place...happy place...".

Thankfully I never used dial-up. The first internet I had was broadband already. How I miss my internet back at home...downloading stuff at a speed of almost 1Mb/s sometimes. Ah those were the days!

Yeah - again, I will agree with you guys with respect to the speed issue. I was considering cancelling my Cox Cable Modem service and just going with the wireless internet to save some dollars.

But until the speeds improve I am gonna have to keep the cable modem for downloads....

For all of you (like Quanchi) who have wireless as your primary internet connection - I feel your pain - and by all means feel free to continue venting here....

I hate wireless. Here I get way too many fucking connection problems and IP bullshit.

I'd rather just have a cable connected. It's ALOT easier and alot faster.

i have time warner wireless internet modem for my laptop, its fucking amazing!!! so fast...

i once downloaded a 2 hour movie in less than a minute..

Cable modem; wireless router:

I got wireless internet.

It's nice and fast, never had no problems with it.

I steal it from my neighbors.

I love wireless internet.. Desktop and laptop..
The luxury of sitting outside on the laptop is fantastic :D (!) ..|

I have a cable connection with a wireless network in our home. It works fine. We have one computer hardwired and two using the wireless connection. I've never had a problem.
