Woah! Talk about twist!? Bryan Kocis found MURDERED! [MERGED]

Old enough to draw logical conclusions from comments made and an experience of law.

There's an article out there, i'll let you find it but its a major article, which refers to Corrigan as the most likely prime suspect.

"i'll let you find it" lol. Nice attempt at avoiding the fact that no such article exists.

And a person who wants to speak to their lawyer is exercising caution and discretion, not automatically a suspect.

When you identify something as a source, it has to actually support your conclusion. Not be a bunch of random bits of information off of which you draw your own random, off-base, whacko conclusion.

I think you guys killed him. And you're trying to pin the blame on Corrigan to deflect suspicion from yourselves.

He'd be able to comment on the murder without talking to his lawyers if he WASN'T being investigated.

He is able to comment on it as much as he wants. But wisely chose not to. Precisely because, no doubt, there are folks like you out there who are convinced he did it.

No article anyone posted anywhere here mentioned Corrigan as a suspect. Much less "Prime Suspect".

The only article that exists is some mythical article joey suggests we find ourselves (pfffffffft).

You guys were the ones calling him a suspect - a rather big claim and quite the accusation. With no support, source, backing, reference, or anything. And you're trying to play lawyer-man and suggest the burden of providing sources was on me. Eejits.

And you know he's able to comment on it how exactly?

If he was able to, he would have done.. 99% of all people do... its a well known fact.

Only those who've got something to hide, or are uncannily cautious... say no comment and check with their solicitor first.

Do you have a source for it being a well-known fact that 99% of all people do comment? If it's a well-known fact, there must be a source.

While under most other circumstances I would agree with you on this one, Joe, remember that Brent is (AFAIK) still engaged in a legal dispute with Cobra over both his age and the use of his stage-name. Regardless of whether or not he's got anything to hide about Kocis' death, it wouldn't be a good idea to talk to the press without legal advice while this suit is still sub judice

I think the police would be fools if they didn't at least question him, considering his history. But that history is exactly the same reason why his taking legal advice here shouldn't surprise us.

It doesnt surprise me in the slightest.. the point of the debate is about whether or not he is a suspect in this case.

Logic, common sense and news sources say yes.

Logic and common sense I'll grant. I'm still trying to track down the article you mentioned.

Anyway, my point was more that it's not really fair to use the fact that he's taken legal advice as evidence in this debate, because of extenuating factors that mean it would be a good idea to talk to a brief regardless of whether he knows anything about the murder or not.

Wait, I'm sorry. I'm confused by all this sympathy for Corrigan. I thought he faked all his legal documents so that he COULD do porn even though he was udneraged and they thought all his background ifno checked out.

From what I've heard, he isn't a victim and never was, just some underage kid who didn't care that what he was doing was illegala nd could jeopardize the livlihoods of others.

Am I wrong?

Your right, but remember Corrigan is hot so that makes it impossible for him to be guilty. He is completely innocent and was abused by the big bad rapist, or that's what he says, and because he's hot his delusional fans will believe him.

Re: Woah! Talk about twist!? Bryan Kocis found MURDERED!

Bad rubbish yes, but keep in mind, the innocent 15 year old he raped, WAS Brent Corrigan., (Lockhart). The reason his sentence was so light was that Brent confessed to having lied about his age. He was living with Mr. Kocis at the time, and went there of his own volition, not "taken to his home". He was "taken" from San Diego to the East to live with Mr. Kocis. The rape was stauatory, not forced. Of course there were pornographic tapes in the house. Mr. Kocis was the owner of a gay pornographic production company...as is Mr. Corrigan now.

Mr. Corrigan regretted his non-business relationship in an interview, but mostly because of the amount of drugs, partying, backstabbing, around Kocis. He was no innocent though. He falsified his own identity in order to appear in adult films. Mr. Kocis had to have known of course, but Corrigan let the cat out of the bag on that. Mr. Corrigan had wanted to work in gay porn before meeting Mr. Kocis.

It's what makes for a good book. No one is innocent in this story. I still suspect the killer will be the father of a boy he 'corrupted' or DID rape, or a now grown man who really had none of Mr. Corrigan's 'worldliness' or ambition when he met Mr. Kocis.

seapuppy,

You are wrong (in part).

The 15yo was a totally different incident, and totally different person. That case was entirely seperate to the affair involving Lockhart/Corrigan, which came about later.

We don't know the name or identity of the person involved in that earlier case (that information is kept secret to protect the identity of the minor involved, as is the case in many such situations).

The whole affair with Corrigan came about much later - years later.

They are two wholly seperate incidents involving wholly different people (apart from Kocis, of course).

discusses the original case.

So, I think you're getting your Kocis-and-underage-guys incidents mixed up, which is hardly your fault, as there are a couple of them with striking similarities. hehe.

I don't think that is the case any longer. Several videos with Mr. Corrigan have been made and released since the lawsuits and Mr. Corrigan's website and production company are officially linked with Cobrastudios. You can hotlink one to the other. The name dispute is with Falcon, (god, I sound like all I do is read porn industry news all day....lol..really I'm a murder mystery fan, much as Cobra's videos are hot, the crime is my attraction, and that I may have met the killer, although I doubt it.). The Falcon dispute is why he had to change his stage name, but he said he didn't like it either.

The videos that Cobra released with Brent Corrigan after the lawsuit came about included footage shot before the drama. Kocis had a substantial library of filmed, yet not released, footage of Corrigan when their less-than-amicable split took place. "Fuck Me Raw", for instance, was all footage shot before their split. All videos of Lockhart with footage shot allegedly before he was 18 were pulled, and yet others were shot after his alleged 18th birthday (between the birthday and the split) and subsequently released. You'll find that the footage of Corrigan in some of Cobra's most recent videos featuring him are years old.

Their websites were different, as well. Cobra had brentcorriganxxx.com, Lockhart had brentcorriganonline.com. That was a central element to the dispute between them.

provides some insight in to that.

I can't believe people know so much about the contemporary history (?) of porn...fascinating!

Jason Curious thinks that Brent's boyfriend Grant may have had something to do with the murder either himself or by hiring someone. He said on his radio/webshow that he has it on good authority that Grant used to say he wishes he could find someone to kill Bryan. So much so that Brent used to tell him to stop talking like that in front of people.

Take it for what it's worth. Grant's probably not the murderer but he does have a strong motive both financial(no impediment to Sean using the Brent Corrigan name now is there, or them releasing the footage they've already shot for their website) and personal(his bf Sean Lockhart was recently seen hugging Bryan at a club called KRAVE.)

Re: Cobra Video's Bryan Kocis murdered yesterday

Gay Porn Producer Stabbed and Burned

The charred body of 44 year old gay porn producer Bryan Charles Kocis, aka Bryan Phillips, was found by fire fighters Wednesday morning in the remains of his burned down Pennsylvania home.

Police first believed the death to be a tragic accident but during the autopsy Thursday, Luzerne County Coroner Dr. John Consalvo found that Kocis died from multiple stab wounds and was dead before the fire broke out.

Investigators now think Kocis house was set on fire to hide the hideous crime.

No arrests have been made, but police have been questioning three California men Kocis was involved in a business dispute with.

"No formal suspects have been named, but Citizen's Voice is reporting that police have questioned three California men he was involved in a "business dispute" with, one of which presumably is Sean Lockhart. Kocis, 44, was best known for his complicated ongoing legal battle with Lockhart, better known as gay porn star Brent Corrigan, 21."

Fellas none of us know what type of person Bryan Kocis was. Most people assume he was some perv molester but the facts don't bare that out. The police looked over his tapes and video equipment and gave it all back because they couldn't find anything.

Victim’s porn ties examined
Officials look into Bryan Kocis’ adult film business in fatal stabbing investigation.
By EDWARD LEWIS elewis@timesleader.com

DALLAS TWP. – State police investigators returned to Midland Drive Friday, two days after firefighters recovered the burned body of homicide victim Bryan Charles Kocis.

The probe into the stabbing death of Kocis continues as investigators interview individuals who were associated with the convicted sex offender, including some people who live in foreign countries.

Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information connected to the investigation.

The focus of the investigation is Kocis’ background, his business and anyone he associated with, according to state police Lt. Frank Hackin, criminal unit supervisor for Troop P, Wyoming.

Kocis, who died of multiple stab wounds, was found Wednesday night when firefighters responded to a blaze at his home.

Kocis, who grew up in Plymouth and briefly lived in Kingston before moving to Dallas Township, owned and operated Cobra Video from the basement of his Back Mountain home. The company, established in 2001, produced gay pornographic films and sold the movies through its Web site. Most of the videos featured young males.

A box at the United Parcel Service store in the Dallas Shopping Center was used as a mailing address for the business.

Kocis’ death was the topic of conversation on several interactive Web sites, or blogs, that are frequented by homosexuals.

Police also are hoping to talk to the driver of a light-colored sport utility vehicle that was seen in the area immediately after a fire ripped through Kocis’ home at about 8:30 Wednesday night, Trooper Martin Connors said.

Luzerne County Coroner Dr. John Consalvo said Kocis died of multiple stab wounds to his torso and neck before the fire was set. The man was identified through dental records.

Investigators suspect the fire was set to cover up the murder.

Attorney Albert J. Flora Jr., who defended Kocis several years ago on sex assault charges, met with investigators on Thursday.

Flora kept in touch with Kocis and briefly represented him in an unrelated civil case. He would not disclose what was said in the meeting or if Kocis had received any threats on his life.

Flora said he met with investigators voluntarily.

The defense attorney clarified a mistake that is listed on Luzerne County Court records about Kocis’ criminal case from 2001.

Kocis was arrested in July 2001, after a then 15-year-old boy claimed Kocis raped him twice.

Most felony and misdemeanor sex offenses were dropped against Kocis because the boy lied about his age and didn’t want to testify, said Luzerne County Assistant District Attorney Jeffrey Tokach.

Tokach said the boy was under a contract with Kocis to model for Cobra Video and provided two fake forms of identification that showed the boy was 18 years old.

Kocis pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of children when authorities recovered a videotape of him having sex with the boy. He was sentenced to one year probation in May 2002.

Tokach recalled Friday that neither he nor the court ordered Kocis to register with the state police as a sex offender under the state’s Megan’s Law.

“Sometime after (Kocis’) sentencing, Megan’s Law got changed,” Tokach said. “He was never notified by the court to register. I don’t even know if he was required to do so at that time. Since then, amendments were added to Megan’s Law making (sexual abuse of children) to be a registered offense.”

Tokach said he believed state police revisited Kocis’ registration requirements when Kocis’ company, Cobra Video, filed a civil lawsuit against an actor in the Southern District of California against last year.

The lawsuit alleges Sean Lockhart, of San Diego, violated two contracts and misused a trademark name for personal use. A settlement conference involving the suit is scheduled for Feb. 21.

In July 2006, Flora and Tokach agreed to amend Kocis’ guilty plea from sexual abuse of children to corruption of minors that prevented the boy from testifying at a Megan’s Law hearing.

“There was a serious mistake of the boy’s age. Nobody really wanted to try this case,” Flora said. “Plus, I don’t think the boy’s family wanted to go to trial.”

The change was officially made on July 13, 2006, by Luzerne County Judge Michael T. Conahan, who hand wrote on the order, “not subject to any Megan’s Law provisions,” according to court records.

“It worked out for everyone’s benefit,” Flora said.
