wodden dildo...... atleast remove the fucking splinters please

well if you have reciepts you can use that... you should be driving the car... your paying for it.... and you should have a HR or something you can do to have the medical removed....

I still say take her to court.... you have any documentation that the car was indeed $500 than she needs to show proof as to why she's charging you 110% increase for it....

After 2 years I'm surprised you haven't sued her yet

i don't have any documentation of the original price of the car. i have witnesses and the guy that sold her the car, but i doubt that he would be on my side.

Jason....

MmmK, let's take the 3 things you said one at a time:

1) "I'm a dumb ass" No, you're not.

2) "I am too trusting" Well, maybe....But, sad to say we all get to a point in our lives when we realize life is "Eat or get eaten" It really is a dog eat dog world...and it's 'grab and take' as well. If you don't, the next bitch will come around soon enough to get what you didn't.

3) The 'Welcome mat' thing. Well, yeah, you kinda are...But, that's what makes you a great person as well. Still, there comes a time when you have to delineate (ooo ! great word ! ;) ) between the people that deserve your kindness, and the people that just want to take it to step all over you.

I wish I had a magic answer for all of this, but you have to figure it out for yourself.

(And, for the record, I shudder at the thought of you frying fish in some malls' food court....You are SO much above this !)

thank you Joshy! have i told you i love you in the last few days??

i fry chicken in a gas station. i would really love my job, even though it is a just for now thing, if it wasn't for the EVIL bitch......

i just can't see a way out. i can't quit. and there are no jobs here. i know i am going to end up going off on her tomorrow. maybe if i just don't show up for a week i will get a raise.

one of the girls that work there has a habit of just disappearing for days and she is almost double what i make, and dosen't do anything.

Jason,

I don't really know you at all or actually know anything about you other then what I've read here in this post. I'll say to you the same thing I say to my closest friends when they are about to go off on their boss. Be reserved and use your head. Right now may not be the best time to make your point to her. It's never worth getting fired unless you have another job actually lined up and ready to go. If you make a big dramatic scene tomorrow and end up getting fired............... you know what you get paid next week? That's right $0.00, last time I looked $138 is a hell of a lot better then ZERO.

My sister moved out to southern Illinois a few years ago so I know how hard jobs are to come by in middle America. I argue with here all the time about the fact that she should have never moved out there making $7 and hr and busting her ass when the starting pay at this Walmart near me is $10 per hr, and supermarkets in a few nearby wealthy town pay around $9-$12 per hr to start, because its so hard for them to find help.

Be reserved and pick and choose your battles wisely. I myself always punch in early at work 15 - 60 minutes early each day and always leave late. I work in a hospital and we do not get paid for unauthorized overtime either. I stay because I want to make sure that my work is complete and done right the first time. I care to much about my responsiblities to the 375 patients who rely on me to worry about and hr here and an hr there of free labor.

Work only the time you're scheduled. If she complains, politely tell her that you are no longer able to come in early and stay late without compensation.

Kill her with kindness.
Also i would check with local, state and federal officials as to whether she is violating laws regarding wages. The laws are specific about hours worked and wages earned.

OMG Jason, I just looked at your profile and didn't notice that you were you in your avatar only "shaved". LoL I remember your posts when you had facial hair but I never noticed that you shaved, just thought you stopped posting. My bad man. Wow you look like a totally different person.

That's a fucked up situation, Jason... I wish I had some words of wisdom for you beyond what everyone else has given, but I don't so I'll give what I have left: (*8*) . Hope it helps a little.

You could also use one of my favorite phrases, "GOD people suck!!!". Screaming that when I'm fed up with people takes the edge off

I have to say I am very sorry for the shitty situation you find yourself in and hope you can get out of it soon.

I think some of the advice above is very apt. You should definitely keep records of the hours you work and ask to be paid for every minute clocked. If they won't pay after 7pm, switch off the lights and go home at 7pm. It is your livelihood, your labour is a commodity. Does she buy in 500 chickens for you to cook but only pay the supplier for 300? I doubt it.

I am a bit confused by the car thing - are you saying she bought a $500 car for you to use for work, she has charged you $1200 for it and you are paying this off by having your weekly wage docked, but you can't actually have the car until you have paid for it? You also mentioned that the car is in her name and that youhave nothing in writing (i.e no formal written contract). My guess is if you sued her for the deductions from your wages she would not have much of a case, even moreso if you can prove the car only cost $500 + $200 for the roof.

Is there a local union you could approach for assistance?

The exploitation of those at the bottom of the ladder by the bastards higher up really makes me mad.

I appreciate that your options for alternative employment may be limited and it is very tough to walk out on a job but if I were in your shoes, I'd be looking at every possible alternative.

Failing that, if you ever do get that car, why not use it to run the bitch over? (Only kidding)

Start looking now for another job at the same level somewhere else and please make sure that the conditions of payment and employment are clearly spelled out. I think your employer is likely breaking the law, but you live in a country that has grown rich on the backs of unskilled workers with poor labour practises, shoddy ethics and appallingly low minimum wage rates.

I don't understand the car situation but it was a very bad idea from the start to let someone do this. I don't understand why you're paying for something you do not have the use of.

Is there some way that you could get some skills training to get a better job? Working for a net wage of $3.85 is just not a good plan for the long term.

...and don't come up with a hundred good reasons why you can't get your ass out of the job and even the community you're in in order to make a better life for you and your child, because while you might get pity, you won't likely get sympathy.

Please make sure the deductions for health and dental insurance are actually being paid into an insurance company. It would not be above the bitch to just pocket them. If you borrow from a bank to buy a car the interest rate will be far lower than the almost 100 % she is charging you and you get to drive it from day one. She is almost certainly breaking the law. Go all out to find another job and then take her to the cleaners. Witches like this should be burned at the stake along with the rest who go all out to make other peoples lives a misery for their own financial gain.

What did your boss say about how the kitchen was to be cleaned after closing if you are supposed to clock out immediately at closing? You seem to be saying that she expects you to do it on your own time, but have you actually spoken to her about it?

What about your doing other people's work? What's up with that? Have you spoken to her about it? Is she aware that others aren't pulling their own weight?

Reacting the way you're thinking of doing isn't going to work. In the short term, you need to start communicating with your boss and arrive at something that will work for both of you.

In the long term you need to find a better job, with emphasis on the YOU.
