wolverine and the x-men trailer

Hey thats a pretty great trailer thanks, I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully the actual show will be as character diverse as the promo is.

The title is still a little off, but I can kinda see why they named it "and the X-Men" now

So maybe with Jean MIA, Cyclops & Emma def hooking up? Nice...(!)
And Quicksilver had some good lines + Rogue's situation looks pretty interesting
Only thing I was kinda down about was the lack of Emma & Storm's huge hair. But those are small things LoL

The 90s X-Men was the first comic book thing I was ever into, Evolution had some great episodes & I hopeful that this one will as well. Hope its around for a while

Where is Emma she isnt in the Preview?

You'd think with Jean and Prof X "gone" they would've have included psychics.

Rogue looks good and i'm glad to finally see Angel

Yeah, I'm glad they're showing Rogues storyline when she was part of the Brotherhood. Her storyline looks most interesting so far.

:rotflmao: At Storms stupid big hair. Who the hell decided to make it that big.

This cartoon looks a lot better than I thought it would be.

The funny thing is its that big BEFORE the explosion

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed it...It doesn't even look that huge in the promo pictures, but I guess it is, LoL

But yeah, I'm excited now

When an explosive event shatters the lives of the X-Men and takes away their mentor, the beaten heroes walk away from it all.

But then they're given a rare glimpse into the future, and see a world in utter ruin, ruled by giant destructive robots called the Sentinels. A world that spiraled out of control because the X-Men had given up.

So now the most legendary of all X-Men takes the lead - Wolverine! Reuniting these broken heroes, Wolverine embarks on the ultimate mission - to prevent the world's destruction.

To rescue us from ourselves. To save the future.

Wolverine and the X-Men, an all-new animated cartoon series from Marvel Comics Studios featuring classic comic book superheroes like Cyclops, Emma Frost, Beast, Storm, Kitty Pryde, Nightcrawler, Rogue, and Professor X.

yea it did look like something that affects telepaths, which should include emma.

i'm surprised to see domino and cable.

i might be in the minority, but i'm not a fan of emma at all. i think her and scott is the most random couple ever. i really wish they would have had psylocke. she's never in anything and she has such an interesting story and powers.

Well I don't think Emma starts off as an X-Man in this one, but joins for whatever reason later on; so it could've only affected Jean & Charles because they were the only two telepaths around Charles at that moment (assuming Beast is right about them targeting Charles' position originally)

And Cable was in the promo? Or are you referring to the person behind Domino as she jumps down & starts shooting? Cuz that was Quicksilver, not Cable

And personally, Emma interest me leagues more than Psylocke or Jean (who bores me to tears when she's not involved with a Phoenix storyline)

That looks a lot better than I thought it would be. I can't wait until it airs.

oops i thought that was cable.

still i don't like emma. the stuck-up bitchy blonde thing is tired as hell.

I wonder what Storms reason is for quiting the X-men. Her character seems like she would stick with the team. They probably make her cry a lot because the professor died and stop fighting for a while. It's still out of character though because she's supposed to be a strong character.

yea ur right! i really can't see storm not just taking over the team. the only explanation i could see storm not taking over is that she is captured or gets amnesia. nothing really makes sense. maybe because they wouldn't dare have the show be storm and the x-men. i don't think there is gonna be a good reason other than they wanted to focus on wolverine being the savior of the x-men.

I think Emma is there because Marvel wants 'new' fans that discover the xmen through this cartoon to easily segway to the comics and if Scott is with Jean (and she's dead) they're going to wonder what's going on

I think people may be jumping to conclusions. The only thing that seems apparent is that the Professor is missing & the X-Men disassemble. I still think the school is up & running, just no team of X-Men

Cyclops is out because Jean is gone too & he's depressed & Rogue leaves to the Brotherhood for some reason, but I still think Beast, Wolverine, Storm, (& maybe Kitty)are still at the school, they just don't have the numbers or the heart to continue leading a full on X-team

And I mean even if when the X-Men breakup, if you only have 2 or 3 members at the school, you're not really leading that great a team anyway

I still think Storm & Beast will be around the mansion, just not on a team (they do seem like the 2 who would stick around, but like Wolverine said about the X-Men, "Its just him & Beast" so far)

Jean will rise again. Just in time to give that cunt Emma an ass whoop-in for fuckin her man. I am tired of everything revolving around Wolverine. I loved the 80's x-men where he was a five foot hair-ball. And I wanna see mohawk Storm!!! I loved when her powers amped up and she had a touch of cruel to her. I still like the 90's cartoon the best. It followed the book so closely.

finally someone who appreciates jean. jean has the worst luck in life and love but she keeps fighting. she's the best.

I have read the comic for over 20 years.. and I have to respectfully disagree with the above statement. (bluedragon)

The 90's cartoon was SHIT.. it took away the X-Men's soul... it was 1 dimensional and characterless.. Yes it stuck to comic plotlines but without the proper characterization it left them completely void of what they essentially were. By doing so they took perfectly good stories and made them less than what they originally were.

Evolution...though not following the story lines of the comics...gave the characters depth.. you actually connected with them the way that you do in the comics.

This Show shows plenty of potential and it does indeed look like it's going to be a continuation of Evolution... which is what I have been eagerly anticipating.

i think the 90s cartoon couldn't get too deep because it was geared toward children. it was enjoyable to me despite not being so much like the comic. since you are long time follower do you remember the 80s cartoon "pryde of the x-men"? it featured emma frost. you can actually find clips on youtube

Looks good. Last I heard they had not determined when and where this would be airing, though.
