Woman dies at McDonald's, staff keeps making food

people still gotta eat I guess

She wouldn't have died if Macdonalds brought back their curly fries.

I don't really see the big deal... why close down the entire restaurant and lose thousands of dollars in business if the body was nowhere near the food preparation area?

It's disrespectful to the family of the descendant and can also be traumatic for the workers to have to pretend that a dead body is not on the property and continue to work. I doubt that this McD franchise would go bankrupt for closing for the night.

the woman clearly liked McDonalds, maybe she would have appreciated it ;)

Not a guarantee - she could have been there just to try one of the new McCafe coffees and determine if the LIE of being as good as Starbucks was fact or fiction.

Of course they kept making food. Have you ever seen what happens to their customer base when they STOP making food?

*insert animated gif of zombie invasion*

McDonald's has a new song:

Stop the cripple
Hold the dead us
Suicidals won't upset us
All we ask is that you let us
keep serving all day.

trill talk though, this should be a psa for all you fast food junkie loving motherfuckers that need to invest your time and money into a gym membership and better healthier lifestyles. not saying that this was the case with the elderly woman that died but i'm pretty sure that this happens regularly. people literally put themselves in this position where their health is in bad shape because they don't take care of themselves. i could never understand why anybody would spend their money on fast food religiously or any junk food for that matter. we all have to eat and we can snack off awhile but after awhile, it does catch up to you without even knowing it. you're spending your money away on food that you're not supposed to be eating regularly. the same people don't even exercise or eat healthy and to top it off, when they do decide to do it. it's either when it's too late or they don't even bother to put any effort as in they put in a month or two thinking that all the effects of not exercising, not eating and etc is going to reverse itself. people are basically killing themselves and not realizing it. the funny thing is that being that this is a capitalist country, there's people waiting to capitalize off of that too in which they are ready to take advantage of people's ignorance.

with that said, i'm so happy that next week, that i'm quitting that half assed job. i do NOT ever want to work anywhere like that EVER AGAIN. quitting that job may make me broke until i find another job but at least i will not have to eat all that nasty ass food that i actually see people doing crazy shit or acting weird over. in fact, i don't think all my years in that spot will ever get me to go to a fast food spot again if i don't have to. i would much rather buy my own food and cook it up. with that said, besides finding a career job in which i plan on going back to school, coming out the closet and etc. i plan on learning how to cook as in really cook.

NOSHADE.
Refuji - firstly this has been noted to my records + and I hope you don't have to wait too long between jobs.

Secondly... DIGITAL HATE - RETHA's threads are meant to be funny....we all remember the grindr thread (where I slayed) and I don't want to see a repeat....not that I would get involved in another fight like that. What I'm trying to say here is that posts like this change the tone free funny to serious instantly and usually people opening up their shadethrowers.

thanks, man. i appreciate that. hopefully, i don't have to wait for another job but i plan on keeping busy regardless. i agree with what you said BUT i think you're quoting the wrong post. if there's anything that i said that would have changed the tone of the thread. it would have been the first thing i said.

nobody gives a fuck.

not the one you quoted. i was just voicing my opinion. it was a general statement.

and second, i don't see how this thread was meant to be humorous at all. i think his main intention with this thread was to spark some outrage since he himself sounds offended at how workers at a fast food chain wouldn't help one of their customers or someone who was in need of help. the worst part of it is that is the only time they decided to help was to cover up the body with plastic as if someone didn't die. it also sounds like there were no customers that were interested in helping her either being that the husband of the ailing woman was the one to call for help. either that or nobody else was in the store which obviously wasn't case because the staff was at work serving people. to me, that is very disrespectful. the restaurant should have closed at that moment and the customers that were there could have helped out or not even bother to go into the store to still order food knowing someone just died there. that's just fucked up.

but this brings me back to something else i want to add to what i said about the whole psa. i just think that it's sick nowadays that people put more of a value on a happy meal or a mcrib sandwich then a life. this is an example. is it really that serious to the point where they had to keep the restaurant open for the customers just to eat something or from a business standpoint, for the store to remain open so they could make more money? did the workers feel that their job was more important than saving someone's life or did they feel that they weren't getting paid enough to simply call for help? the whole situation just shows how people nowadays have their priorities screwed up. but i'm saying this as someone that has seen it though. it's crazy what people will do for poison. they have the staff underpaid, getting treated like slaves and etc kissing the customer's ass and you have the customers rolling up treating the staff like whatever thinking that they're entitled to that poison.

Damn. ^ just noticed auto correct messed up my post (damn damn damnnnn). Sorry about that. Free should have been from and opening should have been open. I hate typos.

it's just a typo. you'll live. it's not school or a job or anything where you have to be on point with what you write and your spelling.

Agreed -I always get wigged out knowing that I'm somewhere where there has been a death. I stayed at the Beverly Hilton about a month ago and felt oddly the whole time. Not just based on who died there but that someone had died in the building . Any time I know that people have died in a place I feel weird - but it's unavoidable, people die where they die. To think that my food was prepared in the presence of a corpse would mess me up for a bit. It's just so wrong.

Well really in most restaurants the food your eating is well decorated corpses... unless of course you are vegan.

i feel you, man. it's something you have to try to block it out though because you never know what has happened in a spot. but even if you do block it out, sometimes you just know what happened just like riding on the subway in nyc and seeing what i think is traces of blood splatter on the wall and platform or seeing the remnants of yellow tape at a crime scene etc. i don't believe in ghost so i don't think that the person that died is going to pop up on "i'm going to haunt where i died" shit.

one thing that i'm happy about is that i haven't seen anybody die in front of me yet. hopefully that never happens. completely 100 percent sure that i've been around places where people have died though and the crazy thing is that you would never know that someone died there because the clean up crews do a good job of it. that is unless there's a memorial over there but i guess that's life.

On the upside, The McRib will be returning to that restaurants' location for a limited time.
