^not sure what your beef is with what I said.
My request for a citation was in response to kulindahr's statements about the AMA conspiring with the government to keep medical costs high.

I posted above that I support women making informed choices concerning their delivery.

Wow, I expected some crackpots on here, but never the sort that are conspiracy theorists that acuse the government of stealing babies by having an alarm system as safeguard against kidnapping.

A group of protestant white men in a cigarrette smoke-filled dark room planning on world domination. Part of the plan is to curb the number of doctors in society. No citation necessary. We'll just have to take your word for it about these conspirators bound on world domination.

You really need to read before you rant. It would be extremely difficult to take my word about domineering doctors since I didn't say that, it was in someone else’s post.

If so, I'm at a loss, 'cause it's almost like having a discussion about an abortion...but it's the birthing issue....

I just wanted to see if "most" people agreed that a woman "does" have the moral and legal right to control their own bodies, etc....

I hope I mis-understood you, for "this" is what it's all about, people's ideas and thoughts, that is without getting overly emotional and name-calling or getting nasty; but having a good discussion.

Listen, the uterus is the one area powerful men still don't have control over and it drives them crazy because it doesn't come with a remote control.

If woman aren't allowed to give birth in their homes with trained professional in attendance, what is next ?

Let's line up at the state run baby hospital, bar code and microchip in the kid as soon as it comes out. Then, rubber stamp some papers, thank the Mother very much while informing her she just became a Republican while she was under anesthesia and send her on her way.

That IS, assuming she had insurance. If not, the AMA has just recommended a nice safe field under the interstate.

Unclean, that the AMA rations the number of doctors is a matter of record:

All new medical schools have to be approved by the AMA.
The number of students who can be accepted at any medical school is set by the AMA.

Thus, the AMA determines the number of people permitted to study to be doctors.

Good heavens! Surely you can't allow a watchdog body to make sure everything is held up to standard! Whatever next?
