Women Reading Other Women - Can they really do that?

hmmm...so I have a neighbor that told me last week that they are getting a divorce after over 20 years of marriage. I love this family. They have 2 grown up children. They are awesome. I had no idea that they were having any relationship problems. On an infrequent basis, I go out with them. One of my other friends/neighbors told me that she knew it was going to happen and she does not even go out with them. She told me that women just have just a natural sense for these things. They can look at another woman and tell what kind of relationship they have with their partner. She told me that they married too young and their kids are grown up, she is beautiful and she was probably wondering what next...and could not see herself with her husband anymore. I find it so sad. They have been through so much together. I honestly do not know the reason for the divorce...my other neighbor is confident that it was because of her.

Another example, she told me about another couple in our neighborhood that have a marriage with no love...it is all a financial relationship. I have no idea if that is true...but it makes me wonder....

Do you think that women are really able to do that accurately?

Thanks Stacy! She told me that she can look at a woman and see the way she looks at her husband, other men...the way she dresses (for example in a flirty way), something about the expressions in her face, etc. She told me that women notice all kinds of signs.

It is only gossiping if they are going around telling people.

She must be. This whole thing really threw me. I thought they had a great marriage and she told me that she thought this was going to happen for several years now. Her adult daughter was with us and she said that she did not know it was going to happen but that she was not surprised. We have all known each other for over 9 years.

her husband is conservative...he always has been...that is his personality and the wife is an extrovert. I did not see any change in the relationship. I did notice that when we were in the limo a couple months ago, he did sit near the back of the limo and she was in front. But I really did not think anything of it at the time....lol

I used to see them walking their dogs together, etc. I always saw them together...she did take vacations with her children only sometimes. But I did not think that was a big deal either. I have other neighbors that have done the same thing...and have flown to go see their children on their own. Gesh, I have one neighbor friend that went to Ireland last year with a male friend to a family home. Her husband did not go because they could not both get the time off at the same time.

Well...I just don't know. I'm a bit idealistic sometimes and tend to just assume that everyone's relationships are good.
