I saw it today. It seems likely that having had a female director gave the film its sense of unfolding wonder in the form of Wonder Woman. Nothing was rushed. Indeed, some people might complain that the beginning is "slow," and they'd be right. But give it 20 minutes or so, and it picks up and just keeps going. And it's got some pretty humorous moments, with several lines Diana utters and the entire audience laughs out loud (mostly when Diana is informing Steve Trevor about what she understands about human biology). And, it has the special effects, but only really cool ones like in the trailer - deflecting bullets. And that's one of the more minor ones. Great special effects without overpowering the scene at all. It's more like a movie about awakenings (mostly Diana's), which also happens to have some action scenes, rather than a "superhero" movie, which is all flash and glitter.

DC finally hit one out of the park. Wonder Woman is their first superhero out of the Big (DC) Three (Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman) to come across as 1), not the result of some tragedy that happened in childhood (hers was not only ideal, but idyllic), 2), Not angry at the world or afraid of it and 3), a Magical Being (she IS a product of magical origins).

This will make Gal Gadot a superstar, similar to Emma Watson in Beauty & the Beast. We have TWO female Heroines, one of whom is super-powered, and the year's only half over!

It's gotten a lot of good buzz---I don't care about Wonder WOman but will see it

Supposed to see it on Tuesday, partner is a nerd for superhero movies. So am I but I'm pickier, 'Wonder Woman' looks awfully....wholesome. I expect it to be good though, Rotten Tomatoes claims 94%

No super hero movies for me...haven't seen any yet and see no reason to start now....

I just looked up show times for tomorrow. I would like to see it, but I am not sure if I should spend the money.

I'll probably watch it tomorrow, hopefully the great reviews are trustworthy.

All my friends have been been telling me to see it, so I plan to see it some time this weekend. I am a bit of a comic book nerd, and I genuinely hope it's good!

((((((Go See Deadpool....WoOoOoOo or whatever indicates hypnosis in these tryin' times. Look Ma, psychic waves n'shit ~>))))))

I have to find myself in one of "those moments"...but I do respect your POV so I am willing to at least consider that there is something I am missing and I will have it on my "what the hell" list when I go to Amazon to watch movies. My what the hell list are movies I will give a try but don't think I will like....

My last what the hell movie was La La Land..and I hated it even more than I thought I would. OMG...I think I lasted 1/2 hour and my teeth were grinding...

PS...I really dislike Ryan Reynolds.....glad he is in a costume so maybe I won't see much of him...

I grew up surrounded by overly powerful women. I never found Wonder Woman appealing nor a character I could identify with. Linda Carter's portrayal also made it seem dumb, like Fantasy Island level acting.

The whole feminist empowerment thing is OK and I'm happy for them/us for it, but it doesn't make the story appealing. When I see the stars and stripes getup, it just looks like quasi-government type propaganda on the level with Popeye the Sailor Man. And the Golden Lasso never did it for me, but then again, I don't like cock rings either.

Enjoy. I saw Kong this year. I've served my time.

Deadpool is a lot of fun. Logan is also really good as well.

It really feels like Marvel is trying to do a couple new things with the genre and getting away from the typical "super hero saves the world" stuff and containing to story.

Civil War is by far one of my favorite super hero movies because it's a bunch of super heros fighting each other but it's so contained, follows it's narrative and isn't ten thousand explosions happening like a Michael Bay movie.

I hate Chris Pratt but Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 was also really good even though it had a lot going on when it came to special effects.

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy last week, it was pretty good. I thought it missed a certain something but I can't put my finger on it. It felt a bit like a stopcap movie, but at least it was in a good way.

Saw it this morning, I really liked it and i hate all DC comic films so this was definitely a pleasant surprise. Definitely a must see.

-See her -Like her -Hate her -Fuck her (the option is clear)

LOL :-< Happy shirtless weekend, JUB planet! :D

It's doing great at the Box Office, so miss it if you want....

Even though I'm gay,I have always enjoyed her boobies

I have no desire to see it get back to me when Hollywood finally makes a super hero movie with a gay MALE lead as the star. Not interested in seeing a female centered movie so I will pass.
