Thanks. My birthday's in March, so I know what I'm going to do to celebrate it.

As much as I loved the unique quirk of the old movie, I did think the new take on it was much needed. The Sci-Fi Network's miniseries seemed to have been loved by many of the true believers, but I found it lacking in production values, and sci-fi's no good when the sets looks cheap, but it's not campy like Lost In Space.

I like the cinema screen for movies that are using scale for effect, and space movies inherently do. Big screen televisions are nice, to be sure, but theaters are better for me. I still remember Out of Africa because of its sweeping shots.
