This new thread is what we who write call a venery or a special word that we use that means a group of animals or people. I will get our venery started with a couple of examples. I am a shepherd and my group of sheep is called a

flock

I will give a few more and then just jump in and enjoy posting.

I saw a group of swan on the Housatonic River which looks pitch black most days and they appeared like a group of stars so white in contrast. So I say they are a


constellation

for it is a nice way to refer to the lambs of the sheep fold, the little ones.
