Working black friday?

It's 1130 a.m. I have been at work since 6am, sitting having breakfast at Nordstrom cafe, scrambled eggs and toast! What a weird feeling to have breakfast at work. Are you working this black Friday? And if so how early or late?

Well i went in at 4am got off at 12:30pm,home now but gotta go to second job at 5.Yeah the mall was pretty crazy!!

9-6 today. I work at a bank, it's our slowest day of the year.

Did get some of the decorating done though.

I went in for my 7:30-3:30 shift and ended up leaving at noon...oh the things you can do when management takes the day off. I kinda needed the extra money and wasn't doing anything else with my day anyway but we will be slammed next week so I'll get it then...

I work at a Home Decor/Hardware store. We opened at 5AM, I was scheduled from 7am to 4pm. WE were not dead, but we were not super busy either.

LOL---customer story.....Customer bought large item to put into his car. Worker went out to help him load it. Customer pulled car up to loading area, got out, opened the back of his SUV so worker could load large item, and out tumbled his JUST BOUGHT plasma t.v., from Target (next store to us)....end over end, and SMASHED cornerwise, onto the ground. Poor guy...lol

Yeppers........Target opened at 4 this year.......fun wow.......only thing I enjoyed was the fact that all those idiots were waiting outside, some of them since yesterday afternoon I heard, and it was FREEZING RAIN!!!! They totally deserve it for going shopping that early haha

I worked 10:45 to 5 today. It was insanity in my store. I was told that before I got there two people were basically tackled and arrested for taking so much merchandise (over $200 worth I guess) and that when we first opened at 5, people were constantly running out with stolen clothing, only to be turned right back around by mall security just outside of the store. I wish I hadn't missed that. Sounds like fun. We also had a second Thanksgiving in the break room. It was a good day.

Yeah I worked. It sucked. As soon as I got off though I went to best buy and got me a PS3 Bundle.

Black Friday was nowhere as busy as it was predicted. Well technically since I got off in the morning 8-ish. It was basically a lull period. The early shoppers were at home done or onto the next target. Some people were still eating breakfast or drinking coffee before they headed out.

Hell Best Buy was barely even busy. Toys R Us was not crowded at all. I guess I got REAL lucky. I heard of some people being trampled in some areas and fights.

Oh and work was mostly empty because most took the day off or skipped work.

Got there at 2:50 AM for 4 AM opening. Small line at two doors at 4AM, nothing crazy.

Busy from 5-6, slow till 8 then mobbed.

By 11 AM we were up 15% to plan and 21% over LY.
