Worst Album Of 2006?

For me I'd have to say it's a tie:

First: Pink's ironically titled "I'm Not Dead." I bought this Dual-Disc package on the day it came out back in April, I think (I'm still not even sure what the DVD in it contains). It was my first Pink purchase (and probably the last).

I think I've played it two or three times since then. Nothing stands out for me. I really must admit that I love the song she does with The Indigo Girls but oddly enough that's one of the rare tracks on the opus that actually got bad reviews.

My second choice is Beck's "The Information." Beck is one of my Top 20 Favorite Artists of All-Time and so it was certainly not my first Beck album. I have all of his stuff back to '93.

Like Pink, nothing stands out as remarkable from "Information." In fact I think I have played "Odelay" and "Sea Change," earlier work from Beck moreso after "Information" has come out. I hope Beck re-groups and puts out something better next time out.

What did everybody else find a shocking disappointment in '06?

For me...

Cassie's debut album.....was not all that...and for me...the worst album of 2006!

I thought Pink's most recent CD was one of the best of the year...

As for worst CD...maybe Paris? or Jessica Simpson? I didn't buy either but the singles that those CDs spawned were quite awful (I kinda like the title track off of Simpson's CD though).

P!NKS album is fucking brilliant, its up there with my fave of 2006.

my worse are fed-exes and christinas was a HUGE dissapointment

P!NK's 'I'm Not Dead' is a fantastic album, possibly her best IMO :=D:

Worst...?

Anything by Beyonce! Sorry - she's talentless eye candy ](*,)

Robbie Williams sucked big time this year too, tryin' too hard to re-invent himself

Way too much good stuff to give a shit about the dross ..|

Lets not count our chickens just yet. Taylor Hicks and the new Gwen Stefani and set for release this month.

P!nk's is the best album of the year.

I have had the misfortune of hearing Nick Lachey's album....

I was treated to the Paris Hilton album by a friend who played it for me to show me how bad it was.

And yeah... it was.

I heard that Kevin Federline single which sounded like two people arguing about who was going to go fix the record that was skipping.

The only let-down about the new James Bond movie is how dull that Chris Cornell song was that opened it.

Nothing is worser than K Fed's album.

so..K FED'S ALBUM WON THE WORST ALBUM OF 06!!!

At least Paris Hilton,Nick Lachey,Cassie and Jessica Simpson does spawned hits.

Paris Hilton-Stars Are Blind,Nothing In This World
Nick Lachey-What's Left Of Me,I Can't Hate You Anymore
Cassie-Me & U,Long Way 2 Go
Jessica Simpson-A Public Affair,I Belong To Me

and Pink has one of the best album in 06.Stupid Girls is highly acclaimed.Who Knew is just ok to me but U + Ur Hand rocks!

I will get abused for saying this lol but madonna's confessions on a dnacefloor , i have heard it a few times and i thought it was awful although i do love hung up and sorry. Also christina's album was a huge letdown for me as well, and Panic at the disco's album sucked big time

^^ My friend (Whos a big madonna fan and collector) hated COAD aswell, its really a hir or miss for some people.
christinas on the other hand was just an overpacked album full of crap (Beside Hurt,Candyman,ANOM,Saved me from myself which are all great)

B'Day (even she named it after somthing shit related) Madona and Paris Hilton are pretty horifyng. 20 Y.O. was also really drab.

Kevin Federline, Paris Hilton, Gwen Stefani

How anyone could include Pink's album in the "worst" ANYTHING is ludicrous.

It may not live up to Missundaztood, but that's like expecting any of Michael Jackson's albums to live up to Thriller.

"I'm Not Dead" is one of the BEST pop albums to come out of any artist this year.

Wow, seeing as the consensus of posters here worship Pink ... I probably should have titled my thread "most disappointing albums of 2006."

I probably would be pelted if I had included Rihanna's "A Girl Like Me" on here.

But seriously the Pink opus was lackluster for me. We're all entitled to our own opinions. BTW, where are the Beck defenders? ](*,)

These are the ten albums I enjoyed the most over the past year -- yes, some released in late 2005:

10. The Fray
How To Save A Life
9. Fiona Apple
Extraordinary Machine
8. Sugarland
Twice The Speed Of Life
7. Nelly Furtado
Loose
6. Faith Hill
Fireflies
5. Sheryl Crow
Wildflower
4. Bananarama
Drama
3. Prince
3121
2. Dixie Chicks
Taking The Long Way
1. Madonna
Confessions On A Dancefloor

MY PICS & PROFILE: http://www.everythingwillbehere.com

"In Your Honor". After "One by One" That CD was a step back. A boring fucking rehash of their entire career.

I hear that the Latest Audioslave was better off not exisiting either.

Everything of the above mentioned. Especially Paris Hilton's "effort" and Madonna's Confessions on a dancefloor.

The latest Chili Peppers album was kinda dull too.

Oh, and Justin Timberlake.

Billy Talent & My chemical romance as well.

U2's new Greatest Hits is way too overrated!

Lafee. (for all non-germans: http://www.lafee.de/ she is a talentless whore)

I almost forgot Rihanna.

Pussycat Dolls.

Three albums I bought this year that were a BIG let down were
"We Don't Need To Whisper"- Angels & Airwaves
"Under The Iron Sea"-Keane
"Ten Silver Drops"- Secret Machines
](*,) [-X :( #-o

I wont even acknowledge that Kevin Federline put out an album, he is a joke now.

But to the topic. Beyonce's B'Day was horrible
