Worst job(s) you've ever had?

Back in highschool, i worked at a cookie factory... and one time i had to clean underneath the pretzel line ovens...which had a lot of black burned salt. It was sooo toxic that it felt like i was working in a salt mine... black flem and uncontrollable coughing.

Next to that, my current accounting job sucks the life out of me ...12 hr days and weekends.. it doesn't ever end...

3. A bitch came up to the concession stand I was working, she said she was there with Ashanti and was supposed to get free popcorn

:rotflmao:

That's hilarious. I would have told her, "Really ? I'm here with Justin Timberlake and I'm knee-deep in Raisinettes ! Ain't it great ?? "

Call center.

Trying to explain how bills work over the phone to angry people for eight hours a day wasn't too fun.

Working at my first part-time job at Krogers (chain of supermarkets in eastern US states), I stayed for a year but most quit within a month. At first it seemed odd how new employees seem to magically disappear after 1-30 days of working but I see why most couldn't stand the store.

The worse jobs there seem to be the front jobs like bagger and cashier. You have to be working every minute. Your breaks and lunches are automatically scheduled for you...the breakroom on the opposite corner of the supermarket. Add in the malfunctioning machines, lazy/rude managers, amount of retarded shoppers...

For a few months in H.S. I worked at a local Chuck E. Cheese. The 2 things that drove me to quit:
1) Getting in that damn mouse outfit. It was VERY hot and VERY smelly (smelled like B.O. and puke)
2) Cleaning the restrooms. This was before the days when janitor-types would wear rubber gloves... imagine my surprise the first time I reached into the womens "sanitary disposal" to empty it--getting it's over-stuffed contents all over my hands.

...hope you weren't eating when you read that!

A few months I sold garden and lawn care over the phone, I was pretty good at it but being told to shut up by at least one person everyday was enough for me, then there was a time a woman cried for 15 minutes and spoke with my boss because she hated being disturbed at home while she's watching the people's court. And the worst of the worst was when I was verbally harassed by a man that almost made me cry because his words hurts and I wanted to start letting insults flow like a river from my mouth but I had to be professional which was unbelieveably hard.

Sadly enough, being a tutor. Although I have contemplated about becoming a teacher, having this occupation previously assures me that, now it is not as rewarding as people intend it to be. I tutored high school math and I spent three hours one night teaching a student basic algebra and the material just couldn't get through his head. I wanted to go to the teacher and say 'the kid is a lost cause'. I was asked to actually tutor in college and I affirm you that I turned that job down so fast.

Working for the royal mail postal depot. The biggest one in scotland. I felt like a fuckin' battery chicken man.
