Worst movie sequal ever

the worst sequel i can remember is probably blairwitch 2, a unbelievably crappy movie that makes no sense whatsoever and has absolutely nothing to do with the trailblazing original. funny enough, cloverfield turned out to be a almost perfect sequel to blairwitch, although its a completely separate movie.

but the most disappointing sequels for me are x-men: the last stand and both matrix sequels. my expectatioons were so high, and the letdown was brutal.

also, i seem to be alone in this, but i was a little underwhelmed by lord of the rings: return of the king. its not a bad movie, but i think it has some huge flaws, while the first two entries were almost perfect.

The sequel to the wonderful "Arthur" was just awful. They did a great job with "The Brady Bunch Movie" , but "A Very Brady Sequel" was just so/so.

The only sequel that I didn't think totally sucked was "Aliens."

It was actually as good as the first but in a different way. It really complimented and extended the original. It was not a carbon copy.

But if I have to pick a worst, it would go way back to "Beyond The Poseidon Adventure"

People complained that Robert Wise didn't know anything about the Star Trek Universe when he directed Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

Well, Shatner proved he knew even less than Wise.

The only sequel that I didn't think totally sucked was "Aliens."

Aliens and Terminator 2 are thought of as the best sequels ever made, and were considered to be better than the first.

I didn't like the first remake of this that much, but Halloween 2 remake was one of the biggest loads of garbage I've seen in a long time.

Rob Zombie makes the most horrifically unwatchable movies ever. For everyone's sake, he should stick to music.


Every Rob Zombie movie ever: "Okay, so there's a white trash, inbred family that's really vulgar and annoying, and they won't shut the fuck up for the entire movie."

A shark that has a vendetta against the Brody family and follows Ellen Brody from Amity to the Bahamas and it spends more time out of the water then in it.

My vote goes to Terminator 3 and 4.

T4 was unnecessary. T3 is redeemed by them letting the world end in it.

Aliens and Terminator 2 are thought of as the best sequels ever made, and were considered to be better than the first.

Co-incidentally, these 2 sequels are in my Top 5 films ever made.

Jeepers Creepers II

JC2 was a hoot. You knew what was happening; the kids on the bus didn't. It was fantastic and cracking good fun.

Superman 4.. Quest for Peace was like watching a bad SNL parody.

Superman Returns was just downright creepy and repulsive. And what happened to Miss Tesmacher?

And anyone see "Stayin' Alive," the jaw-droppingly bad sequel to Saturday Night Fever?






And how about Speed 2 about a run away cruise liner?
