Worst passwords of all time

Hahaha! My Dad's first passwords for everything when he got his first PC was letmein.

Mine are unique. Nothing particularly special but they'd be pretty hard to guess. They have no relevance to me.
 
I dunno what my JUB password it because firefox signs me in... I just looked and it is really strange. I think I either used a random generator or JUB makes a password for you? I dunno.


I have about 3 other passwords and I use them all for quite a few things but I always forget them.
 
I came up with a pretty bizarre way of coming up with passwords. I picture two fictional characters (from two different sources), get them into a discussion, and then come up with a password based on what might happen. So I might take my namesake there, and Captain Picard from Star Trek. I'll picture them fighting, maybe, and at the end Lexington might whup Picard over the head with his tail. So I'd write "Lex tailwhumps Picard", then shorten it to "lxtlwmpspcrd". To be safe, I'll switch the last letter to a number - "lxtlwmpspcr4".

No, that's not my password. Here or anywhere. Different characters from different sources interacting differently. :)

How was this list created? Did someone hack all online and offline accounts worldwide?
 
That is all a bit complicated Lex. I normally sign up with a simple password (probably on that list) so I can remember it the first few days I am using it, then if I like it I will get a real password and write it down on my list and save it on firefox.
 
None of my passwords are on the list, but I did use 1701 as the combination for my first bike lock.
 
Mine isn't on there, but my ex's was. For a computer programmer you'd have thought he'd get a better one.

However, my sister's password of IDONTKNOWMYPASSWORD was an inspired, if absolutely dim choice.

Many years ago, I changed my password to poopoo because I spilled Mountain Dew on my keyboard, and only the upper right-hand corner of the keyboard still worked.
 
My password is totally inscrutable.
 
the password i mostly use was the 10 digit digital combination to the bottom half of a vault at a bank i used to work at years ago.
 
Nope none of mine are on there! My passwords, for sites I actually care about, are pretty much just my imagination at work. Someone would have to really know me in order to guess the passwords, and after that it isn't so difficult to figure out...

I used to pick my passwords based on guys I liked. Ha!
 
I recently had the um .. chance .. do check a list of a zillion of passwords from a christian dating website.
Ran a simple script over it to check for the most common password.
You'll be surprised ... it was:

Heh! None of my passwords were on the list! Also, thought it was interesting that the only astrological sign I saw on the list was mine; Scorpio.

BTW: "abgrtyu" makes perfect sense when you look at the keyboard: AB are the first two letters of the alphabet, and then the rest is a quick diagonal and a straight line. Just like "qazwsx" makes perfect sense when you type it...
