Last week, I went to a major chain bookstore with the sole intention of buying a Playgirl. I saw someone posted here on JUB about voting for real american man or something. (The last time I bought a Playgirl in a store was 20 years ago)

I went in the store, headed directly to magazine rack, grabbed a playgirl and headed directly to the cashier. The only problem was there was a big burly security male security guard standing right next to the male casheir and they were both talking to each other.

I was too embarrased to walk up to the both of them talking and plop down my Playgirl in front of them both.

So, I put the Playgirl back on to the shelf and left the store with the intention of returning shorty after.

I returned to the store 10 minutes later. This time there was just the male cashier standing all by himself. I finally bought the damn Playgirl. So much agrivation for one Playgirl.](*,)

Didn't they discontinue print publication in favour of a web-based medium? Maybe they just haven’t phased it out yet.

You can get them digitally now. No need to go through all that, or even leave your home.

Oh and to answer your question; knowing me and my personality, I'd have walked right up to them both, plunked it down on the counter face up, smiled politely and insisted they finish their conversation, then pay and leave. But I’m just funny like that. Situations that other people find embarrassing, I just find funny. heh
 
Oh God no.

Chances are the security guard would have walked away from the counter when you approached so the cashier could do his job.

Even better, the handsome, burly guard would have checked you out buying a Playgirl, followed you and hit on you in the parking lot asking for a date.

You never know.... ;)

I must admit, it's a bit embarrassing when you are in a queue with parents and kids (I bought a copy in Barnes and Noble). But I didn't feel embarassed when I went up to the cashier, afterall it's one of the items for sale in store.

Nah, I've just known a guy who worked security. They are just people. They'd probably laugh the second I left.

And just to fuck with them, I'd crank my already butch meter to 'ultra extreme' with lots of, 'man' and 'dude'. LOL (The second I was out the door I'd be giggling like a Japanese school girl who just caught a cold, cold breeze up her short, short skirt.)

I actually buy from time to time gay porn magazines "Latin Inch" or "Honcho". However, I always feel embarrass and when I see the store that carry's such material in their stores packed with customers. I walk around the store until enough people have left so I can grab my magazines and run like a bat out of hell.

Condoms for me are much easier to buy. My biggest fear is cashier and security guard will joke about me later. Everyone is different.
 
wouldn't bother me at all. the only thing I'd be cautious about is if there were children present. I'd make sure there werent any kids around. after that it wouldn't bother me a bit. if they didnt want people to buy them they wouldn't sell them. if it's like most stores the employee doesn't even really notice what the person is buying. their in robot mode. they deal with so many people each day they scan it and take the money. no big deal.

I remember in my early 20's (before the internet hit big) I use to have to drive 30 mins to a store to buy Playgirl. I was nervous the first few times but soon it didn't bother me. Now I will walk into a BAMM and pickup one. Granted I rarely buy Playgirl (the last time was Levi was on the cover).

My post was taken down 30 seconds after I posted it.

The whole thread was DELETED shortly after.

Notice everytime anyone types playgirl .......the word playgirl becomes a link....you don't even have to type http or .com .
