Would You Do It If You Suspected Cheating...

Well I am glad it worked for you.

However, for me, a relationship is built on trust.. and I'm not sure I can trust someone who not only lies to me.. but lies to my face when I approach him about it.
If you had not "caught" him.. would he kept on doing it? Would he have kept on lying to you?
If you asked him to check his phone or whatever.. would he have let you? would he have tried to conceal his actions?
To me it just does not make sense in my head to try to uncover deception by using deception and then have things go back to "normal"
From his side of things.. how can he now trust you to not go snooping around the next time you suspect something?

You have been here long enough to have seen me go on my tirades about open relationships before.

However, in that time and with the help of many fellow JUBbers, I learned an extremely valuable lesson. That lesson is that everybody's relationship works differently. What works for mine may not work for yours and what works for yours may not work for mine. And that's OK.

We all make mistakes and I accept that. Being friends with someone, and being in a relationship means being friends with your partner above anything else, I learned that in order to truly be friends one must take the bad with the good and sometimes when mistakes are made it is better to forgive and move on than to destroy and leave with regret.
