i know, i'm around so infrequently....

When the date came around I realized I was suppose to go to Eugene that day which is an hour south of me. The play party was in Portland, an hour north of me. I didn’t have the time or energy to go to the play party that day.

I am still planning on going to one, but they seem to schedule them when I am busy so I haven’t made one yet. The last one was in November. The next one hasn’t been scheduled yet.


Beside just wanting to go to one I also would like to talk to someone about having a booth at Salem’s PRIDE event. I hope they will have another party soon. Around my birthday would be good.

Portland is having a few pansexual play parties.


Think bathhouse, but anyone over 18 or 21 can go depending on the place. Safe sex is required and checked. Besides that drugs are suppose to be left outside. The biggest rule is if someone says “no”. The party I am thinking of going to will have G, L, B, T, I & Q people there. Anyone you are attracted to you just have to ask if they are willing. A lot of people just go to watch as well.

Yes and no. The one I was talking about in the OP was a “dungeon party.” Mostly it would have been BDSM without the intercourse, but still sexual. There are many different kinds of play parties.

It can be any or all of those things and more depending on what you like and the type of party it is.


For those that like getting tied up, but have no one they know to do it, this is a safe way to play. There is security as well as other party goers everywhere. It's also a great way to meet new people that are into the same kind of things and to learn new things safely.


Even though they are called play parties, you don't have to have any kind of sex if you don't want to. You can go and just watch or you can just chat with others that go.

For the ones in portland downstairs is where most of the play happens. Upstairs is where you can get a drink and relax.

The only real downside I have heard for some parties is that there is no privacy. The rooms are fairly open and the smaller rooms have no locks or no doors for safety. If you like it private a play party is usually not a good place for you. Other than that it’s just up to the type of party and the rules.

Yeah, I was a wallflower at my first couple of parties, just checking things out. There were some interesting things going on, but also talks about politics and lots of giggling. That kinda killed the spirit, in my book.
