I have for 27 years and it's one of the reasons we'll be together 29 this July.

No. A relationship is about compromise, not total capitulation.

Aren't we Islamic women supposed to abide by the every command of our male masters who Allah put above us?

But if a person told you they have a severe peanut allergy and they can't have it in the house would that be a problem for you.
'Twould be rather difficult for me, seeing as I make stir-fried tofu with veggies in spicy peanut sauce about once a week. It's one of my favorite dishes.

Besides the fact that this has nothing to do with this thread, your post exposes your utter failure to comprehend the basics of Islam.

I could but that makes me think of a funny story. Well funny from the inside...lol

After my father died my mother was trying so very hard to crawl deep inside a bottle. My sister wasn't being very helpful in Cincinnati and I lived in Memphis at the time so I couldn't help her daily. SO I moved my Mom to Memphis to help her stop drinking so much.

Now this is the funny part. That same year I had built a fourteen foot bar, put in karaoke, trivia machines and for all intents and purposes made my great room into the after hours bar for the servers and bartenders of Memphis. Around this fourteen foot bar was shelving three high stacked with booze. That is the house I brought my Mother to so she could slow down her drinking.....

I think you just don't understand my post and accuse me of not understanding what I'm talking about to feel better about yourself.

Academics do that all the time.

:p

You mean give up drinking in the home or permanently???

This thread will NEVER become irrelevant.......and good for you....... ;) .......on both counts....... ..|

No I love seeing my wine coolers in the fridge aftet a long day. Unless he was an ex alcoholic then I would compromise

Absolutely. I like a drink but I could easily cut it out of my life for a reason like this. If it was just because they didn't like or approve of alcohol, then no, but really I'm surprised so many people wouldn't do this for someone they loved. It's actually quite sad.
