Yes I would. I'm not selfish and if compromising on something like this will make a loved one die at peace with me, then lying over the issue wouldn't bother me a lot. Old people from WWII generation will have a hard time accepting you than Justin Bieber generation. So, I wouldn't push to prove my point on a dying person.
