  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Would you walk through a drive through, to get food?

I've thought about it, but I know that there are some places that don't allow it. Anyway, I do have a car. I've heard of places that want you to order and text when you get there and they will bring your order out. I don't have texting. I will have to stay away from those places.

We don't have drive-through ATMs

Im a bit surprised to hear that.

Im weirded out by no envelope ATM's. I put lots of cash in an atm and it counted it . . .except for the $20 plastic bill that I put in the microwave for a few seconds to kill covid. It shrivelled up on one side and the ATM wouldnt take the bill. And depositing cheques without telling it the amount is weird too, but if it can tell how much the cheque is written for. Change . . its diificult he he

LeicsDom, do you use envelopes to deposit your cheques/checks and cash?

Its much better than my teen years when we handed over our bank book for the teller to write how much was deposited or withdrawn. This was probably about 1978.

The west side McDonalds had walk ins and I had a Big Mac and chocolate shake. I dont know why I didnt put two and two together that that familiar sauce was Thousand Islands

I just returned from a 3116 mile road trip through ten States. Regarding fast food outlets being open, I observed various rules in place, not only on a state-by-state basis, but sometimes by municipality, or sometimes what appeared to be a corporate decision. Some places were still closed, some drive through only, and alarmingly, some locations, particularly in quite rural areas, it was 'normal.' Kind of a crapshoot.

Even Walmart's national edict on face masks was being unevenly enforced.

Regarding the initial question, I did see locals walking through drive through queues when the 'dining' rooms were closed.

Oh, in case anyone was wondering, I did not eat in any dining rooms, just got things to go, or did order online and pickup. I 'Socially Distanced' even easier than a regular day at work.

No way that's just ridiculous and you never know someone might have a camera and video lol so no thanks
