I've been known to throw a few lashings like that around. I have also been on the receiving end.

The best advice I can give is just chalk it up as a person you don't like, toughen up and get along with life. You really do have to roll with the punches because the moment someone stops you, it slows everything down.

BTW Attention whore has such a negative connotation. I like "ostentatious" much better.

By reading your post to me it sounds like he wants you and is jealous of the attention you give other guys instead of him so he wants you to think no one else would want you so he could have you to himself. An asshole way of doing it but it's possible.

Great advice. You seem like a good guy and if you believe this to be true it's not important what he thinks. Unfortunately, for some people, it makes them feel better by making others feel worse. It's a sad exsistence but true. I always just feel sorry for these people. If he see's it really doesn't bother you it will eat him up from inside.
