This has been one shitty-ass and busy as hell week!!! :grrr: Basically, the last 7 or 8 days for me have been just one long :corn: popcorn moment.

At my store, we've dealt with everything from no-call/no-shows on Labor Day weekend (with yours truly having to cover the shifts) to one of our girls having a miscarriage    (I feel so bad for her, bless her heart) to the girl who is my alternate on the graveyard shift being out with severe gallstones. My boss is going through her own hard times with her parents, so I feel bad for her. One of the girls had found out that a physically-distant-but-emotionally-close relative of theirs just got diagnosed with cancer, and it may or may not be operable. The more I think of it, about half our staff is going through some sort of personal drama, at the moment. When it rains, it pours! :grrr:

Speaking of rain, the weather here in North Texas has been flat out dangerous! Over a half-dozen tornados hit the immediate Dallas-Fort Worth area on both Tuesday, and Wednesday combined - including one that hit the western and northern parts of immediate downtown Dallas.

Here's a pic of the one that hit Dallas on Wednesday, courtesy of WFAA-TV:

Thankfully, I don't think anyone got seriously injured in the about 7 or 8 twisters between the two days. But there were thankfully no deaths, I don't think.

Here's WFAA's coverage from the late news, Wednesday night.

Yesterday, this video clip made the news: it was security camera footage from a business's parking lot. It showed this car, just normally backing up out of a parking space, and slowly driving away, as the tornado pictured above was literally just 50 or 75 yards behind them, in the 7:00 position. And they're just slowly driving off, just as calm as you please. While ALL HELL is literally breaking loose right behind them. In-freakin'-credible! They did escape unharmed.

Hopefully this next week, we can go up from here. Puh-leeze!!! :grrr:

I'm having a hard time writing because my mind is distracting me with thoughts of doing other things. I'd like to whack it with a bad, but you know being my mind and all that could like hurt...

I'm a pretty new photographer but I posted a link to my portfolio on Facebook and a friend of mine was very impressed. She asked me to do her headshots for acting, which we're doing tomorrow. I'm really excited but a little nervous because I don't actually have any idea what I'm doing. Should be interesting.

I'm still in love with him and scared of being alone and not finding someone else.

When I see footage from New York City on the evening news, I wish that I was living a life a la Carrie Bradshaw.

I can have more fun in an empty field, alone, than when I'm sat in my room at my computer desk, with the world at my fingertips..
